    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I had contacted them per an ad back in say february. I was to get an adult pr plus a het female aneryth NM milk(I paid for these 2 times from different guys and STILL didnt recieve them,lol!).Anyway, the anerys werent adults as specified but the het female was so I asked for a refund for the remaining balance($660).David sent me a check that proceeded to bounce and then refused to answer my calls. I was on a business trip back from Ark to Mass so I stopped by his house one night when they were entertaining.....the "future ex-wife"answered(as she had on the phone)the door and agreed to go to a bank machine to make up for the "misunderstanding".He was there and didnt even bother to come to the door to see me....Scared?? Yup!! To his credit he is/was in the middle of "domestic" sh...stuff. But you still answer the door, you dont let your girl take the brunt of your folly....Jeff
 
I believe you all are speaking of David Van Houten.....there is quite a bit of telling info on him @ corallus.com. I suggest you check it out.
 
I had a similiar problem with David.

Out of the 3 Balls I purchased from him, 1 was about 2/3 of the size he told me it would be, and 2 ( het Albino) that were supposed to be CB looked like they just came over on a boat.....

I still have all 3 and will be posting in the future either way if the Hets prove out or not.

Do you have any proof? You've listed two seperate items about bad guys without any proof on either of them, you wouldn't even give out the name on the supposed pet shop that all your animals were sold to in the other one. We need proof here.

Proof of check and other posts

I have been waiting to post a few things here for a while. In fact there are 3(!)posts I have placed in the last week. I had mistakenly been listed as one under age(my typing mistake,lol)so I couldnt. Now that I am able, I certainly didnt want to ruin chances of getting SOMETHING back from S&M reptiles(4 baby taiwans that havent eaten yet!).As far as proof of David's check, I have a photocopy sent back by my bank as far as "insufficient funds". For the Joe Hughes saga, I can send you the case # and phone of the VA beach police. And as far as S&M reptile....well I think they have basically admitted to all wrongdoing in their replies. You can check around and ask anyone else about me....though I can wear my heart on my sleeve I certainly dont bother to waste my time if anything questionable happened. This is a forum that "the consumer is always right".Buyer beware,Jeff
 
No proof needed really...

Nothing you can say about David Van Hooten would surprise me. Check out that thread on corallus. The guy is the lowest of the low and he seems to actually enjoy screwing folks. At least that's the impression I got based on his own responses in that thread.

I personally was very happy to see that he did not give the name of that petshop. That shop had no idea that the snakes were stolen and paid good money to get them. Honestly.. if they had them for some period of time.. a good amount of $$ went into their care.... so.. that store had the right to make him pay, If that store had its name on here... it would.. without a doubt... get backlash from it.. when it had no idea and could not prevent it.

David is a bum.. and this fits right into is MO

Maybe a direct link to the thread mentioned on the other site? I went to Corallus.com, but I have no idea what I am looking for, so I could not find anything. I ran a search in their message system for Van Houten, but nothing came up.

I did not realize the pet shop thing had to do with the thread starter. I had not read that posting, but wanted to know what it had to do with Van Houton, as I seriously considered making an offer on an animal he had up earlier this year. A nice little reduced pattern BP, I didn't have the cash, but I had been watching to see if he was ever re-listed.

The thread over at corallus makes very little sence (half the posts in that thread have been deleted by the authors, which makes the other half pretty much non-sense) but I do think I understood enough of it that I won't be making a purchase offer even if the BP is re-listed.

Van houten is a con man..

David Van houten screwed me out of a over $1200 for a trio of Trinidad Tree Boas that I purchased from him. The animals were sent to a friend of mine who was going to export them to me in the Ireland. Basically, the animals arrived very dehydrated. the male was like a rope, very under weight and in poor condition. My friend e-mailed me to tell me about the condition of the animals and that he would attempt to get them cleaned up and healthy. A day or two later one of the females died and the others were sent back to Van houten, with the dead animal. Van Houten refused to collect them from the airport, despite knowing they were coming. he left them to die basically. he then proceeded to spin me a long list of lies about the animals being in his possession, being packed by him, being healthy, blah, blah, blah, then another person e-mailed saying that Van houten had never had the animals, they came from another person how would not be named. Basically, he stole over $1200 from and left animals to die. I would advise all to never purchase fro him. its too much risk.

lol well nice to see david is still up to his old stuff , hey dave guess u shouldnt try to lie to people about how animals that u bought from others are sick and mite infested and so forth ,just to try to get your money back and keep the snakes in the process .... it comes back and cathes up to you .... nice to see hes got a lashing coming to him ..couldnt have happened to a better person ... keep up the good work david nice to see your still digging your hole even deeper ...
 
gravid ball pythons on K.S.........

Just figured I would keep this info going since I noticed some ads on K.S. recently. Did this search and decided against a purchase. The ball pythons look nice but I can't risk it.

I did want to update here and add that the het albino Regius I purchased from David did infact prove out for me last season.

Other than a misquoted size of the animals, They are all doing well and are what they were said to be.
