    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm just curious about what all the beardie breeders are keeping their babies in to grow out and when they hatch. It would be awesome if you could post some pics!!

most just do tubs with paper towel on the bottom with the repti-sun bulb going across the top and a light for basking. extremely simple and clean.

I use 4 ft cages with 10.0 UVB,basking light and a small wattage night glow heat light that cycles on when the basking and uvb cycle off.

My setup is almost identical to what is listed above me. It's a very simple setup that's easy to clean as well as monitor the babies/juveniles.

This was my first year having many clutches( last two years I only had a couple of clutches) so I needed something better than just a couple of tanks. I bought an industrial shelving unit and built racks into it. I wired my light fixtures to the particle board. I bought identical totes to house the babies. During the first week/two weeks after hatching, I used paper towel to hold more moisture. After that, I used no substrate and found it easier to clean/feed that way( nothing can hide). I use a spray bottle to mist a couple times a day and give frequent baths. I can also put a 75 gallon tank on the shelving unit bottom.

I used a digital mini fridge this year to try out, I wish they were more spacious but had a really great hatch rate with it( it did fluctuate 3-4 degrees from top to bottom though). Vermiculite is the medium I use for the eggs.

Next year I plan on trying to make any improvements I can think of :)

A bare bottom or paper towels is probably the safest way to avoid impaction and it works well with spraying the sides of the tub to give them a drink.:)
