Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My boyfriend and I ordered a ball python from FloridaHerps.com and it arrived with ticks! We tried calling right away with no answer or response. It was advertised as captive bred but it was obviously NOT. We tried e-mailing but got nothing. Then after several attempts they responded rudely, and in ALL CAPS, telling us we were out of luck. We have since read many bad experiences but too late for us. They also tried to pose as another person on a different forum to badger us with threats. My boyfriend is very upset. BUYERS BEWARE!

Also, we learned that FloridaHerps.com uses drop-shippers for most of their animals. This means THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE THE ANIMALS THEY SELL!!! Do they mention this on their site, NO!

This exact post was made on redtailboa.net and REMOVED because the person that started the thread failed to provide anything. Lonna from FloridaHerps.com did reply asking for information because they have no record of this person's order. Tracking numbers we asked for, emails, she provided nothing.

This being said I can 100% say that Florida Herps is a great company that I have been buying from for years. Dr. Bill also owns www.ReptiLabs.com that I am sure many of you have used. I have been to their farm, fed their huge african tortoises, pet Drake their 5 foot red iguana, and buy feeders from them. I have since moved further away then I like to drive and recently bought a 8" Female Sulcata from them. They posted pictures on their Facebook page, replied to emails right away and we had her at my our business (we own a cafe in Orlando) the next morning. Here is my tracking number: 795252748749 She was packed in a large brown box with 3/4" foam panels. She was inside a snake sack with plenty of padding. The box had two full size printed labels on the sides "Live Harmless Reptile" "Florida Herpetology, Inc. 3809 Lorraine Road Lakewood Ranch, FL - (800) 975-5880" "FedEx Certified Reptile Shipper #4364-0948-6".

Other websites they have: www.SuncoastReptiles.com, www.SuncoastReptileRescue.org, www.ReptiLabs.com, and www.FloridaAquaria.com (They stock tons of cool fish as well).

Ahhhh....I was wondering when "Jenny Bell" would pipe in! To everyone on this forum, please know that "Jenny Bell" is a pseudonym for FloridaHerps.com. They post under the name "anonymously" but they have been busted on another forum.

Yes my bf deticked the ball python (gross) but it never did eat, and ended up passing away. We are chalking this up to live and learn...learn never to order from FloridaHerps.com that is. This has been our experience, and your's may be different, but we needed to make it known.

I think it's terribly dishonest to post anonymously as they are doing. How pitiful.

Don't attack me, you started this thread and here unlike the other places you posted you will need to provide proof. REAL name the order was placed on, emails with headers, paypal or credit card transaction info to show you really bought what you say you did, tracking number, etc.

You can deflect the facts or lack there of all you want, people on this forum are wayyyyyy too savy to fall for fake slanderous comments.

At the moment Michelle, all we see is she-said/she-said. If you come here making claims and someone disputes your claims, then you need to BACK THEM UP with the proof you say you have.
 
Wow I actually browse FlordiaHerps website regularly, but after read that picture stealing thread and now this one...they have been deleted from my favorites. You can be sure that I will not purchase anything from them.

Now if we could get back to the reason this thread was started?

I for one would love to see proof. And again, where are all these CAPS from them? Anyone? Bueller? Am I just missing that some where?

Yep. If they won't respect the hard work, intellectual property, and legal copyright of others, I won't trust them to respect physical property or transactions, either. (And no, you DON'T have to watermark or tag your photos with a C, they're automatically under copyright the moment they're taken.)

I couldnt agree more! I am not defending anyone for stealing pictures.

This thread was started by some girl with two last names making serious claims against a company without proof. Last time I checked that is not acceptable on the BOI.

Just for the record; The copyright law you refer too also protects emails. Its the exact same law. So I agree that someone claimed a website stole their picture. No excuse for that. That same person that was upset about copyright infringment went right out and violated that exact same law by reposting private emails. I believe that is called Hypocracy at its finest. In fact, there are plenty of folks on the BOI that seriously rip into people over pictures (and I for one agree with all that) but the BOI (which I think rocks) actually requires people to post their real name and then break copyright law by reposting personal emails complete with headers. I think copyright laws are way too ignored on the internet and there really is no excuse. I also know that you do not need to tag your photos, they are automatically protected under law. Just like emails.

I will say its good on Michelle's part to get this thread completely diverted from her claims. Good job.

So Michelle where is all your proof or should we chalk this thread up as complete slanderous lies just like the ones you had removed on RTB.net?

Have you informed FH that you started this crap over here?

MichelleR - registering under a false name is grounds for having your account banned...and posting on the BOI under a false name can result in your posts being removed. Please PM me with an explanation regarding your name confusion; and be prepared to take immediate steps to resolve it.
