In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Sorry about this. The server guys screwed up something early AM today that downed every site on my server. Of course, I went to bed around 3:30am, and they killed the server around 5:30am, so I didn't know anything about it till I got up. You would THINK they would check on the sites on a server when they make a change, wouldn't you?

But anyway, it appears we are back up now finally.

I just KNEW things were running too smoothly for too long with my server.

Yeah, I got a BUNCH of emails from people asking "What did I do wrong??? Why did you BAN me???"

I thought it was a setting on my computer. I had made some changes on my last scan and thought I had blocked the site. Glad its back up and running!

Well, just a FYI, but I am running a virus scan on the server and deleting any that it finds. From what I can see, nearly all of them are in mail inboxes of accounts I don't ever check the emails on, but there is always the possibility that a program file could be infected and the site will die when that file is deleted. The only examples I could see of actual program files was on my SerpenCo domain in a program I don't use any longer, but heck, you never know with this stuff.

I went and deleted all of the domains on my server that I don't use any longer, just to limit access to any hackers looking for script vulnerabilities to exploit. I know the programs in SerpenCo.com were pretty old, so that doesn't surprise me much that they might have gotten hacked into. But I need to recover some text files I wrote years ago before pulling the plug on that site to close down that old code.

Well, this day isn't going exactly as I had hoped it would....
