Bad Guy Pureagenda (EllMarie Richard) Sent me a sickly bearded Dragon

I recently purchased a 2yr. old Trans. bearded dragon fem. from EllMarie, The add stated that she was very healthy, 19" and 490g. Also we had agreed for her to ship her Monday the 25th to arrive the 26th. She didn't ship her till tues. the 26th and what I recieved didn't look like the healthy dragon that she put in her add.
What I recieved, was a very thin, dehydrated,(eyes sunken in), Lethargic dragon.Which I quickly soaked her. I gave EllMarie the benifite of the doubt at first and sent a couple e-mails asking if she had laid eggs recently, with out my knowledge.
EllMarie replyed back saying that a few weeks ago she moved her in with two other females, and that one of the other females was eating more, causing the one I recieved to not have much to eat.
After hearing that I syringe fed her some pureed Total bites for Beardeds and some chicken baby food. Then decided to give her a longer soak,. The second time I soaked the dragon, this time for an hour, but she wouldn't hold her head up, even if she got submerged a bit. so I held her front up-right with a small delli cup. After the situation where she wouldn't hold her head up, I e-mailed EllMarie again asking for a partial refund because she would probably not make the trip in the state she's in. I also mentioned that I measured her and she was 16" not 19" as Ell posted in her add. Also as for being 490G. she is a measly 308g
Being that I hadn't recieved the healthy dragon I purchased and suppose that the pics posted on the add are old.
I haven't heard from EllMarie since this morning when she said she hadn't laid any eggs, and it was from being with the other two dragons.
A bearded can't loose almost 200g in the course of a few weeks when put in with others that suposedly ate more than their share. It would take longer, or she wasn't getting any food.
I have had a good transaction with her before and don't understand her behavior now. I will post pics along with e-mails.
One thing I do regret though is not getting recent pics, I just went off the pics in the multiple adds for the dragon. I'll post pics I took as well as the links to the adds, and e-mails.

She was on her own but was moved to a group with 2 other females. So the past few weeks she has not been fed individually. I have a hunch one of the females in her enclosure were way food aggressive and dominated in that area. This is why we had to sell her.
I would've loved to keep her she loves being held and is so sweet. Im glad she is with you and will now get some individual attn. She is a great dragon and those eyes are amazing.

I hope to get at least a partial refund for recieving her in such a poor sad shape, I would never ship a dragon like her out in her condition. Also don't understand but am grateful that the first dragon I purchased from her was healthy and as described.
Though in no reason does this make this situation right.

As for when I said I'd fatten her up, I was giving the dragon a bit more time to warm up then feed her, to see if she improved a bit. but when she didn't right herself the second time of soaking her I decided no this is just not right. and if she's not willing to right herself like that she prob is pretty sick.

Honestly, that beardie doesnt even look two years old.... she looks like my friend's nine year old beardie before she had to put him down. That is terrible shape, simply terrible. The poor dear.

But, as you can see in the links to the adds, she looks better and the one with another dragon in the backround,...she looks poss. gravid from the bumps in her belly (took closer looks at the pic today)

I'm sorry to hear this...I saw several of the ads she posted for that dragon. I agree, that dragon looks REALLY old. I hope she pulls through for you. You deserve your money back. I know they can get very stressed from shipping, but she flat out lied to you about the dragon's condition.

Well she's decided to ignore the e-mails I sent her. and from my previous business with her it went very smoothly. This is a total 180 deg. It's sad that she would ship an animal in this condition.

Just so you know I also had some run around with EllieMarie. I put money down it was a big deal to try to get her to contact me to finish the transaction. Thought it was just a fluke so never said much. Then I get the dragon but I think its not the one I saw in the pics. Mine came very healthy but didn't look as white as the pics at all. I wish you luck and hope she comes out of it.

Thanks, and, we'll see what happens. Still no reply from her. last one from her said "Whats going on" when I made it clear to her that the dragon she sent me was sickly and attached mutiple pics of her and added the point of lieing about the dragon in her posts.

I just have to say this about her, and what she did to this poor dragon. , to make a buck on a dragon that can"t be breed anymore, and put false adds on her. this is low especially making the dragon go through shipping let alone selling her. Shows that she didn"t care what happened. And the lack of replys from her shows that she probably knew the whole time. I was just the sucker that had to pay for it. Too bad she didn't have any previous Boi'; Hope this helps with anyone buying from her in the future

That poor dragon- she looks awful. It's sad that she was allowed to get to so poor of a condition- I also think she looks quite elderly.

Honestly, the pictures in the ads don't look too great either. The second ad, where she is alone, shows a very skinny dragon IMO. I would not have purchased her based on the seller's pictures. You can see lots of wrinkled skin on the back and the head and legs look proportionally too large for the body.

Yes, I made a poor decision in getting her, but even those pics don't show how bad she is. I figured I was getting a 2yr old dragon and I could bring her weight up, to breed, even though she posted in another add that she was 390g. which was the add I went off of. then when she put the "thanks" on the one pictured above. I asked her if that was the same dragon, (I did'nt realize it was the same dragon till after sending her the $, ) I gave her a quote of a lower amount. but that dosn't excuse my bad judjement. In that pic she dosn"t seem very old I thought, but it could be a older pic.

when she came a note said she was being fed freezedried crickets, meal, and super worms; not a very good diet

As for the dragon, she's doing better. Walking around but not eatting yet. tested poss. for roundworm. So I'm treating with panacure.

Roundworms? Ugh, that could explain why she is so thin and lethargic. Poor girl, I hope she turns around quickly for you. She does look much worse than the ad pictures showed....the ad showed a slightly underweight dragon that could have recently laid eggs or such. Best of luck getting her healthy again!

If you paid using a credit card through Paypal, you can try to file a claim with them that what you received was not what you had paid for. Hopefully you can get at least the cost of treating her back to health covered.

Unfortuantly I didn't use a credid card, so theres no way I can cancel it.
as for treatment of her I do fecal floats at home on my microscope, and have available meds. I get panacrue from beautiful dragons and Albon from my vet (it's thicker and dragons seem to like it more)
But, yes I did ask her if she laid eggs, she said "never". And now I know thats a plain out lie to. but hope this can help future buyers from her to see this.
