    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Not mine this time.... but my friend has just had a happy event... (in Fiji) :D:D

Wild caught Candoia bibroni bibroni female from Taveuni Island in Fiji crossed with a captive born male from the same island.

15 live babies, 5 slugs, one still born. Babies shed immediately they are born, so these are still a bit flaky, around 12 gm each, 30cm long, thick as pencils.

Oh, and VERY cute! :thumbsup:

Gecko tails! :lick::lick:

We get many small house geckos over here, but I've found that even they are too large for these to tackle easily at first.

In the past we've fed gecko tails, then newly hatched geckos, gradually building up to larger geckos and eventually chickens.

What do they eat naturally?

Mostly seems to be geckos, birds, fruit bats as they grow larger.

They will also take rats and mice, and I've seen one take a frozen mongoose, not sure how they'd go against a live one!

A few will eat fish and have been seen hanging out near streams.

Of the 7 I keep, 5 will now take frozen chicken wings too......... :D

They are beautiful, amazing color on them.

Thanks Lucille, they do show an amazing colour range, normally greys/browns/pinks/ oranges, but I have seen occasional yellows, greens, and black with scarlet bellies too.

From what I've seen there can be at least 2, sometimes 3 colour-ways in a single litter.

Of course there are all wild caught, so het for everything I suppose!
