In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Now I do not know Bobby Pruett, I have seen some of his ads, but I have never done business nor inquired about any of his animals. I was actually looking at general pet classifieds for a new cage for my ferrets when I came across this ad:

Pinstriped™ Bearded Dragons - $300.00 bobbypruett (9.7/10)
PinStriped™ Bearded Dragons I am proud to announce the new genetic
morph I have produced. I have some Juvies and Hatchling now and more
clutches in the incubator. The new morph is trademarked
PinStriped™ The waiting list for these awsome dragons has already
started. Very few of these dragons will be cut loose over the next
couple of years. I have already began to add many different colors to

Now I will be honest, I haven't owned a dragon in over a year and this not a bad guy post, but are people actually breeding "pin striped" dragons now? What's next polka dots? I could not get a screen shot but if anyone wants to see the ad with the pictures go to www.hoobly.com and search bobbypruett or reptiles in ohio. Again I am not sure and I didn't know a better forum to ask, but I have had baby dragons with very similiar patterns that I have purchased for $40.00. Please let me know if I am wrong.

Trademaked huh? I have had beardeds with patterns like this as well, but if they ARE genetic stripes as he claims,an easy way to prove it would be to show a pic of the adults. If the parents are pinstriped then thats great. You would think that he would be posting his "new morph" everywhere. But I have yet to see any other ads. Maybe Im not looking in the right places.

I HAVE HAD A TON OF THE LINED DRAGONS,,

Hi all,,
I have hatched out lots of "pinstriped" dragons,, and i usually sell them just as the other dragons,, yeah it is kinda neat looking but not a "new morph" or anything like that,,, i started doing it by placing my "striped" or almost striped dragons together and over a few years they have produced a high number of striped dragons,, but in my opinion,,, big deal,,, just kinda neat,, nothing Amazing about them,,, i also have bred generations of dragons with reduced patterns to produce almost patternless dragons,,
but i did it to prove it could be done,, not to make them special or the next big "morph"....
Just my 2 cents,,,

Could someone point out the pinstripes? Do they run head to tail? Around the tail? Just wanted to make sure I knew what they looked like.

So as far as the "trademark" .... does that mean nobody else could call their dragons pinstriped, even if they ARE phenotypically identical? Only those who purchase them from Bobby Pruett can call them that? I'm just confused how the trademark benefits him, and limits everyone else?

Yes, the supposed "pinstripe" runs the length of the dragons body.

It happens when the normal zigzag pattern gets so tight...or the "peaks and valleys" get so close they just form a line down the back. It happens with my yellow line frequently, but most fade out as they mature.

It really isn't uncommon for dragons to pass along similar body patterns to their offspring.

Has anyone looked up to see if he really did file for a trade mark on this? I find it difficult to believe that they would allow him to trade mark the work "pinstripe".

Heres a pic of the dragon...

While very neat, I agree with Wendy. $300? Not a chance. Maybe that is why he is posting it on an obscure site and not one of the herp sites where he would most definitely face scrutiny for his new "trademarked morph." Who knows.

Bobby is just a scumbag who wants to get more $. He lacks all honesty and integrity. Hes as transparent as a brand new window.

Yeah, kind of like someone trying to trademark something like "kingsnake" or any other common word used in the English language, huh? (tongue planted firmly in cheek)

very funny

(tongue planted firmly in cheek)

very funny- thank god someone else said it! I couldnt afford getting any more points against me for speaking about the antics of this man.

Are there sandfire pinstripes or hypo pinstripes?

Sure. We have 4 Sandfire Red/Golds, and 2 of them have pretty decent stripes.

We recently hatched out a nicely striped baby from adults with no stripes. Out of 2 clutchs totaling 59 eggs, only one was striped.

Am I infringing on something by producing this dragon?

pinstripe

i have had a adult sandfire pin. i didn't think it's to great so i sold him, i think if it's genetic it should be worth more, but lets face it theres lots of pins out there. i guess it's worth what you willing to pay. some see them and "i gotta have it" others don't look twice.

Its not like this guy is the first to coin a new name for a mutation - look at all the new Ball, corn, kingsnake etc. morphs that have sprung up in the last couple years!

Its called "Marketing" and since several have said it is inheritable - then it is inevitable it will get a name.

This is a free market - if he can find someone willing to pay more for the dragon because it is striped then more power to him. Heck he could even try to sell a normal for $300 if he wanted too, thats his right, there are no price controls.

As far as the "trademarked" part I'd have to see some legal paperwork to verify that.

I take it this persons reputation is not sterling but I am disregarding that for the above comments would apply to anyone selling a new morph.....

This guys reputation is more along the lines of Rust. Hey, maybe I can trademark that! You are right though. Anyone "can" charge anything they want in our free enterprise society. However, when thier reputation is "Rust" I get a little skeptical. Especially when he lies and says he is the first to prove it is genetic. Do a search on Mr. Pruets dealings and then tell me what you think he is trying to accomplish.

Yeah, Bobby is such a great guy.....in that deal with Philip Sallee, on another forum, he claimed to "only be f**king with him, he was getting a replacement all along".......what kind of person does that?

He is now advertising them on KS

Nice little price tag attached as well!

i guess it's worth what you willing to pay. some see them and "i gotta have it" others don't look twice.

That's right!
