• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Avoid doing any business with PaigeGardinerJ1988 ; typical scam , Shows everything possible to be the Good guy , Smart with posts to cover up the scam. open ended delivery time blaming the weather conditions , buying herself time so you can not dispute via paypal.

just avoid the scum.

I appreciate your input and warning to deal with this individual. Can you post any evidence, I.e. coorespondence, email exchanges etc to support your claim? In the event it becomes disputed?

I don't know why people don't avoid all this nonsense. Pay with a credit card and the first excuse have your credit card company do a charge back. Anyone selling anything will jump through hoops to make a sale. If not just wait and buy from somebody else. Please don't bother with paypal disputes because the first thing paypal says is they don't cover ANY problems with live animals. Go right to your bank. Credit card fraud is illegal.

That is great advice CIndy, but I don't have a credit card :(. That is why I use Paypal for online transactions. I am very leary to order online however after much of what I have read in the BOI. The few times I have purchased reptiles online to be shipped have fortunately worked out in my favor (as I knock on wood), but I continue to be cautious.

I would be interested in why other's use paypal over a credit card, but do not want to get this thread off topic at all. *Perhaps I can start a thread on this in an appropriate forum *

The OP did not open a dispute because of alleged seller excuses. But my advice is to go ahead and open a dispute when it gets near the deadline (45 days). That way the seller either has to ship or lose the case and refund.
There have been reports here of Paypal siding with the buyer when nothing was sent, even when the transaction was for a critter.

Here is a capture of parts of the dialogue , Note the yellow conversation is the Seller.

On Dec 23 i was asked when i wanted them shipped, i informed her i prefer between dec 28- jan 1 I was talking about receiving the shipment .

On Dec 31 when i ask about the Lizard , she tells me but we talked about after jan. i correct her that i was expecting dec 28-jan2 and she agrees to send everything on monday.

so every few days she comes up with more delay , mean while i was receiving other shipments from different vendors no problems .

Weather aside, did she send you photos of the lizard? What kind of lizard? Where was she advertising?

So ??? I should wait till summer ?

Opinions differ on when to safely ship, I posted temps so all could get a good idea. If the seller is delaying because she does not feel comfortable shipping, that is not bad.
You do not seem to be approaching the Paypal deadline yeat, but you could ask (or file) for a refund.
I think that the communications with you are more pertinent to whether she is a good guy or bad guy. If she is putting critter safety first that is one thing, if she is stringing you along that is another.

In am cases she is refusing to issue any refund and now refusing to proceed with the shipping and any conversation. Which proves the fraudulent nature of the entire story

Could you please post the email where she is refusing to refund?

She refused to refund and asked me to stop texting and refused to send the lizard. And that if i want to spend more money i can go to the court :D

Personally I use Paypal because I do not want to give my credit card details out to unknown people, who may well turn out to be scammers or potential ID thieves. it might be worth starting a thread in the general discussions or business forum to talk over the pros and cons as an overall policy.

To clarify things, next week on i will be out of town, so i cant receive any package, i live alone and there will be no one at home , i have a pet sitter that will pass and feed my lizards on daily basis .

That time factor makes the email more critical. If she is delaying because of safety, she is not a scammer.
If she is stringing you along, that is different.

The emails, please.

I dont have any emails, this is the conversation , there is no feedback from her just silence till i ask on the status she replies with things we never discussed as if she is talking to the wrong person, Once she even told me that she replied to me on paypal in the claim and i havent had filed any claim, which makes me believe she several other open cases not just me
