    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Heres the thing i tried buying from them, it was only two cages and they had to be built when i ordered them but i orderd them close to a month ago i have not heard back from them and emailed them that i was giving them 2 days to update me and let me know whats going on or i was going to cancel my order i didnt hear anything back so i canceled but i really need to know if this is a common thing with them or if maybe there having website problems. and even after canceling the order i still have not recived a refund.

Steve Beckerman of E2MacPets is an excellent person to buy from. He always stays in contact and is more than happy to answer any questions you may have. I’ve bought from him in the past and it was a good experience, and I would buy from again. I highly recommend buying from him.
 
He may be having problems with his stie, its not a common thing over there. Might want to try emailing him again, if I see him i'll let him know whats up

Just wanted to let you guys know that I know steve from many, many, many IRC conversations, and he's really a stand up guy. I would assume that he's having problems with his computer or site if he hasn't gotten in contact with you, because he was always prompt and great in his email replies to me about stock and things, even before he had his site.

Thank you all for your kind replies. I have indeed had trouble accessing my email account the last few days.

The order by Adam was absolutely not placed a month ago. Adam first tried sending me money via paypal 11/24. However shortly afterwards I got an email from him saying that paypal had rejected his credit card. He then asked me to run his credit card (I suppose not understanding that I do not process credit cards, paypal acts as an intermediary) and emailed me a credit card that was not in his name.

At this point I hesitated, I questioned Adam regarding the owner of the card and I also emailed paypal to make sure I would not have funds removed from my account. I also took this opportunity to verify with Adam the options on the cages he ordered, as we had not spoken prior to his sending money (he ordered through my website, which is not updated as frequently as I would like).


On 12/5 I considered the transaction to have completed from a monetary standpoint. I was satisfied that the payment was good and I had confirmed with Adam the exact products he desired. At this point I forwarded along the order to be processed.

On 12/6 I recieved an email asking if the cages had shipped yet. I replied that the cages needed to be built and explained the average lead time (3-4 weeks) and told him I would contact him when they were shipping with all relevent information.

We are now 12 days into the order, as far as I am concerned.


I have just now checked my email, I had not been able to check it since monday, 12/13.

I apparently recieved this email on 12/15
Hello i ordered 2 animal plastics cages from you a few weeks ago and i know you said they are being built but how long could it possibly take. im am getting very fustraded with this i paid for them if they are not to be shipped right away then it is your duty to keep me updated. So if i dont hear back from you with in 2 days I will be canceling the order. and i will go some where else and my money will be refunded. it is in your best interest to make sure that i am satisfied. thank you

Well i have givin you the oppertunity to make things right by this but you have not taken it. So inturn I must ask for my money to be refunded if not legal action will deffanlty be taken i will not be screwed over by the likes of a company such as yours. You have proven to me that you have no sence of responcablty in keeping a good name for your campany. Word will be spread of how you conduct business and i will get my money back, regardless. so have fun with your new ventures of being a complete jackoff. Happy holidays.

I apologize to you, Adam, for not contacting you in the past 12 days, but as I explained to you the lead time was 3-4 weeks. I did not anticipate a need to contact you prior to your cages shipping or for some reason my recieving word that there would be a delay in shipping past the expected timeframe.

I also apologize for not having checked my email as frequently as you would have liked, but as I stated the reason was for circumstances outside my control.

All I can do right now is assure you that you will recieve the product you ordered and I am confident you will be completely satisfied. But as stated, there is a lead time involved with ordering these cages.


If there is anything at all I can do to be of assistance, please let me know.

Steve. Refund this guy and run in the opposite question. This is a customer who will not be happy at this point no matter what you do. You will be more than compensated for the loss of the sale by the increase in your peace of mind.

John is right. Based on his emails, Adam is the type of buyer everyone hopes they never get.
He didn't pay attention to the lead time information, gets impatient and insulting, and you need a magic decoder ring to decipher the spelling errors and figure out what he is saying.

I'd refund the money right now and and put this one behind me before it gets worse.

Adam - thank you for coming on the BOI. It's so very refreshing to see people come on get blind-sided by their own actions and words. Good luck finding another quality cage like you would have gotten from E2macpets.

If you email and don't get a response back as soon as you'd like drop a dime and give the guy a call. Emails do bounce, etc.

Also, don't blast a seller 2 weeks after you order when you were told the lead time is around a month......he's still well within the agreed upon timeframe. All cage builders are backed up at this point, some longer than a month so 1 month isn't so bad and is likely the quickest you can get one.....don't complain. :scatter:
 
The Value of the BOI

I have a word that may be of value to people using this site. Not only do I come here to get guidance on who I might want to deal with in the future I also get valuable insights into people I might want to stay away from as I sell my my stock or consider buying. I can say from personal experience that there are a whole lot of individuals whose civility and politeness need to checked very often. Actually as a Minister the proliference of such types is clearly a statement of job security for me. Just be careful how y'all come across (specifically Adam in this case). Your actions speak volumes!!! That's my $.02. Now I have to get back to my sermon!!!

It is a sad day when you need to check the BOI before you sell dry goods to a customer....

I've taken my internet storefront down, in response to this thread. Simply put up a page explaining my business and what I have to offer potential customers. That should save me some headaches at this busy time of year where I really don't need to take on additional stresses.

Adam's profile indicates he's 20 years old, so it may just be a case of immaturity. (I'm not saying ALL 20 year olds are immature....but a good percentage are.)

I would most definitely not let this one unstable customer influence the way you do business. The only one that has damaged his reputation on this thread is Adam.
 
Ok Ok heres the deal all of you deciding to make fun of me please dont. steve i do apologize if i came across as an ass, you did send me an email stating that they had to be built but never once did you give me a time frame, and the thing with the other persons credit card which i did explain to you. is that i dont have one of my own so it makes it very hard to order things off the internet such as cages, etc. so i used theres and then paid them back which there is nothing wrong with that. in the begining i did have problems with paypal. was new to the site, and must have done something wrong, so a few other people that i placed orders with, the payment didnt go through, so just to make sure i asked you if you got the payment ok and you said yes i got a confirm email from paypal. so i figured good. then a week later i asked when were they going to be shipped you said they have to be built and i will notifiy you when they are done but never gave me a time frame. so three weeks later i got angry and emailed you never got a reply so i cancelled the order and instead of you emailing me back with questions that maybe you should have had you come on here and start telling these people my what should be personal order information. so i dont get it if you got the emails 2 days ago why have i still not recived one from you notifing that my money will be refunded or any kind of update. so really i asked whos rep. is hurt by this. the guy that gets angry when he buys something and doesnt get it or any updates or the guy that cant run his business properly. and then you try to attack me by posting other posts of mine, give me a brake all your trying to do is split hairs and these other sheep might be falling for it but guess what buddy your only hurting your own business in the long run i to am a business owner and never once would i leave a customer lost when it comes to there order and/or money. so hope your business continues to make people very unhappy and have a marry christmas. and please email me further about my refund thank you
