Ideally we'd like to come here and give praises. Unfortunately thats not the case. Rarely do I ever see someone that has an extremely bad seller name, turn out to be a piece of work as a buyer. There wasn't a thread about him like this so I felt it deserved a new one. I am familiar with the man in question thru the BOI, and this serves as information for those that elect to sell to him.

Here we go:

Not 15 minutes after posting Mr. Haney calls me and tells me he wants them. I figured his money was better than anyones so I sold him the females. Thru the next 2 to 3 days we exchanged emails and I have listed a most.

turns out they are females thats a good thing. After
looking them over one has retained eye caps i believe

1 week ago was their last meal (9 days).

They should be good to go. I didn't notice the eye cap, but if you are
not happy with her, we can make arrangements to return her.

There is just nothing I can do with them and our current projects. I
have too many females. I may let 2 more go, but I am not sure as of
yet. A guy really wanted the 2 I sent you but you bought them so fast.

I have to let him know first before I post them. I may let a big girl
go but not sure as well. I just don't want to spread myself to thin on
my males.

The eye cap isnt a big deal if its all that it is i
really just wanted to bring it to your attention also.

From a guy locally. I wont import, as a rule I also wont deal with
people I dont know, and I don't take alot of animals in as its harder
to maintain a clean collection if done any other way. I have too many
expensive balls here to risk it.

Anyway, if there is anything you need help on or are looking for, let
me know. I have some pretty good resources and everyone I deal with
has awesome stuff.

feeding. Them not feeding and the scaring leads me to
believe these are imports.

Well, surely this isnt your first go around with ball pythons. There
is no way you can assume they will eat imediately following a move.
Some eat and some dont. As for the scaring, I feed live only, not F/T,
not mice, rats only. Make contact with anyone and everyone you can and
you will find I have NEVER bought an import EVER. Typically with ball
pythons, when you move an animal, you give it a week to aclimate
before offering food. In addition sizing is important on the first
offering.

I have no idea what your setup is or conditions and find it rather
offensive that you would question what I offered for sale in being an
import. I albsolutely do NOT know not one importer, nor would I bring
anything into my collection otherwise.

I have a guy that I do bussiness with and he really wanted them. If
you would like to arrange to ship them to him, I will do a refund
since he is one state away. Either way, if you don't like them, send
em back.

They are EXACTLY as they were represented. 0.2 CB normals. Guaranteed.
Look at my feedback, it doesn't lie.

Jeff sorry if you took offense to this it just kind a
worries when they dont feed. I know it was kinda of
soon usually i feed balls the second day after
recieving them. As far as feedback goes you know Im
kinda biased to any fauna feedback Ive never taken
anyone for a ride but if you read afew post you would
think otherwise. As long as your going to guarantee me
they are going to feed Im fine with them.

No biggie. I can't stress enough how critical acclimation is. They are
the most easily stressed animal in the reptile world. Almost like a
female. A change in the weather is a change in their mood. A change in
habitat is also a change in mood. Anything you can do to ease their
transition is a plus. Here is what I have:

My substrate is Aspen, and they are housed in 40 qt containers with
hide box and water dish. The water dish is big enough for every one of
my balls to fully submerse themselves in. They all feed on live food.
My temperatures are 85 degrees ambient with roughly 75% to 80%
humidity.

It is important to me to make as minimal changes to their enviroment
to ensure an easy transition. I have an 03' pastel we brought in from
a friend that hasn't eaten yet and we are in our second month. Is it
critical? No. Will it eat? Absolutely. I also know that we are in the
winter months where typically they have stopped feeding. Its just
something we cannot control.

I know that the feedback system is sometimes too much. I also know
that is can be a very useful tool when used properly.

Because this is a satisfaction issue, and not an animal representation
issue, we will only be able to refund you the actual paid and not the
shipping for and the return of the animals in question.

Also, how were they received and housed. It is also critical that they
were in some form of quarantine so I do not risk potential issues with
our animals from your facility. Not that there are any issues, but a
just in case scenario.

We will make it easy. Just ship the animals back to me and upon
receipt of the animals I will issue a refund.

Just so we are clear, a refund on these animals is a courtesy not a
guarantee. You were sold 0.2 CB Normals with a clean bill of health.
The animals you received we the exact animals listed and are both
females and in the condition described in the ad.

Honestly this is a tremendous waste of time on my part and a very odd
transaction.

O yes absolutlet they are in quarintine I have mojaves
spiders clowns etc There isnt a chance they arent
being quarintined they are in 31qt tubs with heat and
hidebox

When the man in question did not send the snakes, and somewhat agreed on the sale, and then posts them less than 5 days later for sale, at larger weights than they were sold to him, and for more money, that to me concludes the transaction.

This story is the epitome of the "make a quick buck turn-around." The snakes were so bad that you sent, but good enough to re sale at higher weights, even though they didn't eat. Hell where do I get some snakes like that? If I don't have to feed anymore, and the snakes get bigger, then sign me up. BTW, I've got this bridge for sale...........................

So, in a nut shell you tried to do everything in the world to make this guy happy (other than refund his shipping too) and he files a complaint agianst you with Pay Pal? I really do not understand that move other than just trying to be vindictive. People never cease to amaze me. Or as my grandfather often says, "it is just another case of Humans being".

In a nutshell, you are 100% correct. A refund was based solely on satisfaction, which I did not offer on the listing. 2 seperate times in email I offered and have never received the animals in question or an email.

As soon as I found out the listing was on KS I had a friend copy the ad because this transaction was very odd to say the least and the animals were listed so quickly. If needed I will attempt to provide a copy of the ad he posted, but it's kind of null and void at this point. The animals were listed at 50 grams higher in weight (roughly) than I sold them to him. Which is an easy indicator, that the animals fed. Unless he has the ability to give them water weight gain.

The sad part about all of this is, we work very hard to maintain an above satisfactory reputation and keep in contact with alot of people that have purchased animals from us, to have someone pull this bull. I even sent Daniel an email when he was getting slammed about re-selling animals. Here is that one:

Just out of curiosity. I dont know if you remember

sale that were huge. I called you and you told me it
was sold but you hadn't gotten the deposit as of
yet. I then told you I would give you 100 dollars
more and you said you didnt want it to come back on

balls and you told me you dont deal with balls, that
you only deal in boa's. Given that, I assume you are
getting some good deals on balls, and it is very
easy to get a bad name. Which it appears has already
started. The last thing you need is to be labeled
as, is a broker, then it shows no commitment, and
you most definately can't control with certainty
what comes in an out by way of parasites and
diseases.

To say I was trying to be nice thru this mess and his messes before are an understatement. I also feel I have done everything I should have done and a little more.

If this is the same guy as dhserps here on Fauna I would never sell to or buy anything from him. In his first few ads here he LIED and stated animals were morphs when they clearly were not. When called out he used the "sorry, wrong pic" excuse.

You tried all you could to right a situation that I don't even think was wrong, It happens all the time with Regius, you ship a good feeder then it refuses for a while, and I have also seen poor feeders eat like hogs after they were shipped.

You are 100% correct too. The deal on IBD was around the same time and when we saw the posts on Fauna before we left for Florida, I made a conscious decision at that point to not accept them back and risk the health of our animals, but I would just refund the money if he undid the deal. I never got a call or email and here we are 30 days later, with a Paypal dispute and not to mention they are probably sold.

I guess being genuine and offering a helping hand does not equal any form of sincerity in his book.

There is ABSOLUTELY no rebuttal by him here. Emails speak for themselves and so do KS ads.

The guy is a proven genetic dirtbag. The PayPal dispute will amount to nothing. This is, unfortunately, the price we pay for doing business on the internet. The anonyimity the computer fosters allows people to act like this and think no repercussions will follow. If his past bad deals had been local, every square inch of his ass would have been kicked by now

Mr. Haney has managed to dig a pretty impressive grave for himself in his 2 years or so in the business. Hopefully the last few threads have begun to cover the grave.

Obviously this is not funny to me, nor do I have any desire to make anything right that I haven't made wrong.

Forunately for GMAIL am I able to save the over 1000 emails in thier entirety. I can search any keyword from any email and it retrieves all emails regarding those words. If you don't have it, get it. As you've seen it's a very useful tool in this business. If want it, ask me. If I hadn't a secure place to keep my emails, would I have been protected and would I have a leg to stand on? Probably not.

Hopefully this sale will just go away.
