In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

MR PEANUT seller, great snakes!

Just ordered a group of higher end Corn snakes from MRPEANUT. Was to the quick, to the point, and very on top of things. The snakes all arrived in excellent condition, good packing job, and great quality. Got more than I expected from this purchase.

I've wondered the same thing...all sorts of ads, some for snakes of interest to me, but no name. Personally, I am tired of trying to pull simple info out of people - if they don't have it where I can see it, I shop elsewhere

Re

Since this forum is for people to tell if they had a positive experience with a dealer or not I was giving them positive feedback. This MR PEANUT dealer was getting out of all of thier higher end snakes through the classifieds and a few people had wanted to know if anyone had positive dealings with them. Just letting it be known that the dealer is reputable.

That is fine, but Chris asked who Mr Peanut is...It is certainly your prerogative not to disclose his identity, if you know it, but many would not consider doing business with someone that does not offer his name. (I'm not saying that Mr Peanut refuses to give his name, as I have never contacted him.)

Loren,
The question of his name hasn't been answered. Is his name really Mr. Peanut?, if not who did you make payment out to? IM guessing you knew of him before buying because you were familair with how the BOI works yet your first post wasn't an inquiry about him, but a good guy post the day you signed up. He has some nice stuff up for sale but hasn't been posting very long so one can never be too careful before making a purchase, especially when the first good guy post is from someone who posts first day they sign up.

Is Mr. Butter and Mr. Jelly his partners?
What a hoax Loren Jones is playing! LOL!
At least Loren, play by the rules.

Who the hell would buy from someone going by mr peanut with no real name?

Just appears on the scene (btw, I can't find any more of his ads) and gets rave reviews from someone who just registers but won't provide the real name of the person he bought high end corns from. You must have some other info since you did a deal with him.

As Wes would say........................I smell Tuna....................... :ack2:

Too many occasions lately of bogus sellers getting praise from bogus buyers.

In this, I am imagining the character of Mr. Peanut boxing up snakes and shipping them. Ya know, the one in the Planter's commercials......LOL!

Kidding....

Well I'm not saying that he isn't for real but there were people on Reptibid a while back that were selling high end snakes and ripping people off. They would have several user names and win thier own auctions. Then they would leave excellent feedback for people to see. Then someone would come along and win thier auction and pay for it because they thought that the person having the auction was legetimate. So they would send money and never get the snake they thought they won in the auction. This Mr. Peanut is currently posting ads on Kingsnake and some are higher end snakes. So I would have to say use caution if you chose to deal with this person. The person who started this thread joined the day he posted. So I agree about this whole thing smelling fishy. With all the scams going on out there it is better to be safe then sorry. It's a shame that there are people out there who intentionally rip people off knowing that they are hurting someone. And in most cases it's the hard working person who goes to work every day, pays taxes and lives a responsible and productive life. This is an awsome board and it helps all kinds of people. There have been alot of scams brought up here and we all know that there will be more in the future. So if this Mr. Peanut is for real or not, I don't know. But I would use extreme caution if dealing with him. Who knows maybe he will see this thread and make himself known. Now had it been Mr. Pecan it would have been a different story.

Loren,

A few of questions. How did you pay? If you used a check or money order, to whom was it payable? If you paid via PayPal or another service, in whose name was the account when you received your confirmation? Where is the seller located (City, State)? What shipping method did the seller use? What was the tracking number? Can you show us photos of these alleged snakes?

I'm not doubting you...well actually, I am. I mean "Mr Peanut"? Come on. I was born at night but not last night.

Well technically to be posted in the BOI the full name has to be in the title correct? :shrug01:

Well...maybe he does exist.

Is this him?

Loren,
In your biography, you state:

Biography:
Degree in ectotherm biology with emphasis in herpetology

Just curious - where did you study?

MPU class of 1998

That's Mr. Peanut University.

I am with all who think this whole thing is a farce. Every aspect of "Mr. Peanut" and Loren sounds like a pant-load. However, the picture of "Mr. Peanut" was pretty funny :D This seems like another one of those weeks in the BOI where the stupids have converged. Avoid Mr. Peanut. Avoid Loren.

Sorry, Computer was down

Hi all,

Just responding to the numerous posts now questioning my profession and a few other things. The purpose of this forum is to tell whether or not you had a positive purchase from a seller. That is all I was reporting. If you do not want to order from a person, then don't. I'm not telling you to buy from MR PEANUT as the name is kind of odd, and indeed does seem kinda fishy. The purchase was made through Paypal and the seller was a verified delta shipper, and as such there was no return address.
Sorry I don't have a real name to give you guys for this person. While the last name was listed as Peanut on the e-mails, that was all I had to work with. I fail to see the relevance of most of the objections leveled in this thread  . If you don't feel comfortable ordering from someone, then don't. I took a chance on the name when others didn't and was quite satisfied with the service I got. There was no other motive than that. Hope this helps you all out some.
