Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi,

I have bought from wormman a couple of times. The first time everything was perfect but the second time my mealworms and crickets were all doa. I called them and they replaced them at no cost. Anyhow, they were nice people and were more than glad to help fix anything wrong. I have not delt with J.B. enterprises but from what you mentioned above, they seem like great people. People at wormman are nice people with great feeders. Maybe your experience was one of the few negative ones. no ones perfect=) Just wanted to let pople know there are two sides to a story! Take Care. I"ll probably try JB on my next order but wormman isn't out of the picture.

Sincerely,
Andrew

Again, JB

CANNOT BE BEAT for customer service, quality feeders, and speed. I order every Monday morning @ 12.00$ per thousand and have NEVER had to wait like you seem to do FOREVER with wormman, my orders occasionally come on Tuesdays, but are never later than Wednesdays. JB is the only way to go in my opinion, the quality of their crix is UNPARALELLED to any other company I have ordered from thus far. I will never order from another feeder company again. -Eric Lago *MS Reptilian Hobbyists*

I had a bad experience or two with wormman myself. I'd just like to say that when I need feeders, I have hungry lizards that can't wait a week or two for the feeders to show up, then another week or two for the replacements to show up when I could have ordered High quality feeders at better prices in the first place without having to wait for a week or two in the first place. I have yet to receive any crix from JB that arrived DOA. Why give yourself the 3-4 week runaraound when good healthy crix can be at your door 3 days after you order? Just my .2. -Eric Lago *MS Reptilian Hobbyists*

i ordered from wormman

I ordered from wormman twice and was horrified. It took them a month to get replacement after replacement. I was so frustrated and angry. It wasn't worth it. I will defintely check out JB.

JB

Hi I live in Oregon and decided to try JB after reading the 1st post -- the crickets were awesome !! I have ordered from California witch is a lot closer and it takes the same amount of time to get the crickets and the ones from CA are in bad shape - i usually lose 25 % of the order -- I have has the JB crickets for 1 week and they are still doing great !!! I will be ordering all my feeder crickets from them from now on !!

It amazes me, honestly,

that the crix from JB at the prices they sell for are such quality crix. I ordered from them this last Monday, and the crix were at my door Tuesday morning the next day. I cannot stress this enough, order from JB when you need feeders!!!!!!!!!!!! You WILL BE pleasantly surprised by this little company's speed, accuracy, and quality of feeders. -Eric Lago, MS Reptilian Hobbyists

Went and tried them...

And have to say that I was extremely pleased. Kind and curteous over the phone and even though I'd never ordered from them again they acted as if I'd done business with them for a long tme. (we just started working with our cricket eating lizards again after a bad lizard experience a year ago.) Prices are so amazing that I was shocked! If anyone wants particulars, e-mail me or pm me as I won't turn this into an advertisement. Definitely going to order from them again and hope to build a long-term relationship with a couple who are simply good folks.

Website

Hello I am interested in trying them out, by any chance do they have a website? Thank you!

No website

At least not that I'm aware of at this time. Their phone # helps make up for that...800-691-8911 and you'll get Jim or Betty unless it's the weekend or late and then they've got an answering machine. Hope this helps.

Ordered

Thanks for the phone number, well I just called to place an order, and have to say that Betty is the most customer oriented person person I have ever spoken to. She answered all questions in a professional manner. Though I don't have the crickets yet, there is no doubt in my mind that I will not be disappointed in this transaction. Customer Service is key, and theirs is excellent.

One problem with J&B

I agree that J&B has great customer service and crickets, however, I just recently switched from crickets to roaches. I tried to order a few thousand mealies and waxies but Betty says that to place an order you MUST order crickets. But I don't want crickets, just the mealies and waxies....no deal. She said you have to order atleast 1,000 crickets with every order.

Bummer. :( I've since had to switch to Grubco because of this, am very happy with Grubco though.

I use the Bug Company, www.ebugco.com they also are very customer oriented (as well as individual orders they will tailor a custom monthly contract order for you, which is what I needed).
They give 1,000 crickets free with your first order of 1,000 or more crix, and all of my bugs of whatever nature have arrived alive, healthy, and exactly on time.

Well

Well I have ordered from them twice since my last post. My 1st order was 2 weeks ago and those are still alive. Had to order more due to the fact we were getting low. There was not one dead cricket in either one of our orders. We will be going through them for now on.... Thanks you to whoever started this post. :)

I may give them a ring next week. We were going to call wormman but after reading a few sotries here and browsing thier prices I do not think they can supply us with what we need.

I give J.B. Enterprise A+ ratings. I normally don't like to do business on the phone if I can help it, but Betty is just an awesome lady to shoot the breeze with. After I told her what I was interested in ordering, she actually took the initiative to ask if I had any questions and then we just chatted for a bit. She seemed pretty happy explaining things to me. Then at the end, she said she wanted me to call when I received the order to let her know if the crickets arrived okay. This truly is a mom-and-pop business. The shipping labels were handwritten, the invoice was handwritten, and there was even my local forecast jotted down on the invoice. The crickets did arrive in excellent shape, look FANTASTIC, and I'm pretty confident that I received the full quantity that I ordered (which is the reason why I left my previous supplier). I definitely recommend them.

I just wanted to follow up on this. I've continued to buy from J.B. Enterprise for almost a year now and finally had my first DOA from them last week. Since the crickets arrived late in the afternoon on Thursday and I waited a few hours for them to thaw from the cold weather, I didn't call J.B. until Friday. We played phone tag until the weekend hit. Then first thing Monday morning, they were the first to call me back to let me know they were going to send out a reshipment. I did have to pay for the cost of shipping, but their prices are so low anyway, the overall cost was still comparable to some competitor prices. Their pursuance of the matter made me feel like they valued my loyalty as a customer, and their promptness on handling the situation shows they understand the importance of my receiving crickets ASAP.

One of their owners, Betty, recently passed away, but the company continues to offer excellent service. Their crickets are very healthy, robust critters that consistently appear fresh in color and in behavior. They can jump what seems like six feet in the air even on an empty stomach. That might seem like a pain for some herpers, but I firmly believe healthy feeders make for healthiers herps. No stinky crickets here. I definitely recommend giving them a try.
