    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

With all the "bad guy" threads going up this month, I figured it was time to get off my lazy ass and write the good guy review I promised to the folks at 13 Reptiles. Sorry about the delay fellas :eek:

So the tale starts on the 3rd of February. Here in upstate NY (Damn near Canada) we get our fair share of cold weather. Actually, more than a fair share. I see on the classifieds here 3 breeding groups; "A","B","C". I was interested in group B because they had potential to make some gorgeous gecko morphs, and the price was nice and cheap. Group B was a 2:2 adult breeding group.

Alright, enough back story, here's the good guy bit:

I Facebooked the people at 13 reptiles, as the ad suggested, and asked if they would be able to reserve group B for me, due to the insanely cold weather.

They agreed, as long as I put 25% down.

I did.

I asked how long of a hold I could get on them, and they said they would give me 60 days, otherwise all I would have to do is pay in full and they would STILL be okay with shipping them (not bad, right?).

Throughout The month they checked in on me to see how the temps were, being very accommodating to my unfortunate living circumstances (-10 degrees F on the daily :crying: )

March rolled around, 30 days left on until I would need to pay full.

March was a bit of a whore when it came to the weather, letting anything pass through. one day it could be expected at 50 degrees, and it would change last minute to 20. Still, the 13 Reptiles gang was very accommodating and didnt get the least bit irritated with me, even though I deserved it.

March 24: it happens

So finally the weather lets up and we get the last of the payment in, and the reptiles shipped. They arrived early, and were quickly placed into their new homes. I was hesitant at first to post a reply, because my 2 females refused any food for nearly 2 weeks. I tried crickets, worms, roaches, but nothing really worked. I finally decided to add a lot more cover to their enclosure (the females are in a glass aquarium for monitoring during the mating season) and they relaxed and became more friendly. needless to say, 4 months later, they are happy and healthy, and I currently have 7 out of the 11 eggs incubating and almost ready to hatch. 4 of the eggs were laid outside of their lay-boxes and cooked before I found them :( .

All in all, I would absolutely recommend 13 Reptiles to anyone looking for good quality breeder geckos.
