    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Wow, to think I have been a member of Fauna for going on 19 years. I am not even one of the original if you will. I have seen this site go through a lot. I have seen Rich go through a lot.

Sometimes going back to what we were is better then where we are headed. I miss a lot of people that were here and the other forums. I know social media has changed the game. BUT there is something to the forums that calm me.

Rich my friend you do not hear it enough thank you for the memories and thank you for all you do. I know some of the things you deal with but not all. To everyone that knows me HI and to the ones that don't HI lol.

I think this is one of the oldest forums out there. many have died off or the owners just gave up. Fauna stayed strong.
 
Hey Gary! Glad to see you are still kicking. Hope life is treating you well and you are staying healthy regardless of all the virus crap going on around us.

As for Fauna staying strong, well, not really sure about that. I would just class it as "hanging in there", I guess. It is still operating in the black, so as long as that continues, it will continue.

When I closed the Board of Inquiry, I wasn't real sure which way things would go here. But in retrospect, it may well have been that the reason the BOI was closed is the same reason that FaunaClassifieds is still here. The BOI was closed because most people apparently stopped giving a crap about it. So that fact made it's loss apparently irrelevant to most people frequenting this site. :shrug01:

Anyway, good hearing from you again. Here is hoping that 2022 gives us a much better year than 2021 proved out for many people. :beer:

Hopefully on December 31, 2022 we will all be thinking, "Damn! That was a GOOD year!"
