Greetings,
We have some unique Sonoran gophers (Pituophis affinis) available from Cuesta Del Burro, Presidio Co, TX.
These "donkey hill" gophers are purportedly natural intergrades that exhibit a wide array of patterns and rusty color shades of straw yellow, burnt orange, pumpkin orange to terra cotta.
Most notably some may have heads with a green-ish hue...which has proven to be difficult to capture by photo.
To the best of our knowledge these are all descendants of the original founders from T. Gebhard (Vivid).
Fellow Pit enthusiasts S. John and J. Josephs continued working with this special locale and they are who we acquired our breeders from.
We bred a pair of sibs together this season and the first one to emerge was ALBINO! This is apparently the first of its kind for this locality.
Two more albinos ended up hatching from a total of 11 eggs.
Unfortunately the overall clutch ratio was high male so were only offering 5.1 pos het albinos at this time.
Individual males are $375/shipped and a 1.1 pair is $700/shipped.
Buyers of males will have first dibs on any available females next season.
All are feeding well on appropriately sized FT or Live mice.
