In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I want to share my recent experience to help other reptile keepers make informed decisions.

I recently purchased a lizard through MorphMarket.

Before sending payment, I specifically asked the seller (Anibal Herrera) whether the animal had metabolic bone disease (MBD) because I had concerns based on the listing photos. The seller assured me the animal was healthy and did not have MBD.

When I picked up the lizard, it was immediately apparent that it showed significant signs consistent with MBD, along with what appear to be neurological issues. Based on the animal’s condition, these problems existed before it was shipped and were not disclosed.
I contacted the seller immediately to try to resolve the issue. After initially not responding, the seller eventually offered a 50% refund, stated that all sales were final, and refused to take the animal back. My concern isn’t buyer’s remorse—it’s that I specifically asked about the animal’s health before purchasing and relied on the seller’s representation that it was healthy.

I purchased what I believed was a healthy animal. I did not knowingly agree to purchase an animal with serious, undisclosed health issues.

Another concern is that the listing was marked as sold but was not associated with my MorphMarket account, preventing me from leaving a review of the transaction. I have already contacted MorphMarket and requested that they review the sale.

I have also personally observed this seller relisting animals shortly after acquiring them. While there is nothing inherently wrong with reselling animals, I believe sellers should have enough time to properly evaluate an animal’s health before representing it as healthy to a buyer.

As of now, the seller has blocked me on MorphMarket and has refused to provide what I believe is an appropriate resolution which is a full refund and returning the sick animal he sold me and lied about.

I’m sharing this experience so others can make informed decisions. I encourage everyone buying reptiles online to ask detailed questions, save screenshots of conversations, and thoroughly inspect any animal upon arrival.

Beware of this guy, he gets animals and flips them right away and doesn’t even check their health. He didn’t even know this animal had MBD and it’s obvious. He bought this animal for $250 and tried to sell x4 what he paid. Be careful with this crook. Total bum.
