    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I saw someplace that they cut their eggs at 52 days. Dose that mean that if they are not pipping at that time you should cut (or expect them to pip) on day 52? I am only on day 27, so I have a LONG way to go but was just wondering.Also dose anyone have a development calender, you know like at day xxx the snake gets scales, at day xyz the lungs develop, day trg it gets an eggtooth and so on? I would LOVE to see something like that

I am not a big fan of Cutting an egg. I believe most people cut after one of the babies has pipped. But again I have never thought about doing it.

Don't cut unless you absolutely have to.
If you have had humidity problems and the eggs did not soften like they should at hatching time, then you may need to cut them since the egg tooth might not be able to break thru. Also you may cut if after a few days of the first one pipping you don't see any others pip.
Other than that, let them come out on their own.

I am on Day 50 and the eggs are hard as a rock. They all candled great.Movement everywhere.I am surprised these turned out this hard.They are all fine though.

What do you folks do when you run into this?

99% of the time there is absolutely no need to cut your eggs. The snakes will make their way out just fine.

Personally, I cut almost all my eggs on day 56 when incubated between 88-89 degrees. Whether any have started pipping yet or not. But that is just my personal preference and should not be considered a rule of thumb of any kind.

I agree with this! :iagree: I cut somewhere between day 52 and 56. It's my personal choice.

Just out of curiosity If there is no need to slit the eggs then why do so many people do it? Just trying to learn from more experienced breeders. Maybe its something Im missing..

Cant take the wait any longer! lol

I personally choose not to cut unless I think something's wrong. I had a clutch this year of 7 eggs. 6 were out and about and the 7th hadn't even pipped yet. I took the other 6 out and decided to cut. I opened the top of the egg up and gave him a little poke. He flinched so I left him be. Next day he was out. I'm not really sure if this is a story suggesting cutting or not though. Would he have made it out if I didn't cut? :shrug01:
