    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Not great, statistically; but that's where I am with 5 clutches laid.
All were 6 eggers...one full clutch was bad (slugs), and 2 of the other duds showed no veins; so they weren't surprises. The last one gone wasn't really a surprise, either; as there was virtually no veining...but part of me wonders if some mommy magic could have saved it.
Still more clutches to come; and I'm glad they are spaced with some gaps, so I don't have too many new babies all at once. (I killed off my rodent colony about a year ago...the new one is just getting started, and I'd like to keep it small.)

No pics, because I still suck like that...give me a month, and that will likely change as babies start hatching.

This year: no cutting, unless an egg fails to pip.

Hopefully, you are referring to my decision to pair up some snakes, and actually following through with it this season....because 21 out of 30 is pretty lousy, and the dud clutch was probably my fault.
Still, I expect at least 3 more clutches...possibly 6 or 7, if I get lucky.

Thanks for the encouragement.
I'll be happy if I get a decent hatch rate...having all those clutches die a few years back really crushed my interest in breeding. Last year, I had a bunch of girls primed and ready, then changed my mind & didn't pair them up. The few males I did put in with them, I pulled within a couple of days. (I almost did the same this year...and I tailed off on feeding and pairing some, which is why I'm not sure how many more clutches I'll get)
I think a good hatch with some nice combinations will fuel my interest (and it definitely needs the fuel, lol)

Nice! It's still a good amount of babies! I'm still waiting on my girls to drop, if I'm lucky I'll get 4-5 clutches lol

Good luck with them Harald! You'll see the lil heads poking out the eggs soon and wonder why you kept putting it off so long. ;) I'm thinking of doing a few pairs this season since I've not bred anything for a few years as well. Not BPs though, those are still growing up. :)
Looking forward to seeing your pics once they hatch (because you will take photos *uses the force*)

I think Mine is gravid - she's been off feed for about a month, and she's struck at me a few times when I opened her tub to check. The going off feed is nothing new for her (though it usually isn't in the spring), but the striking definitely is.
<Fingers crossed for special project>
I wish I could say with certainty that the enchi is gravid. I thought I saw ovulation, and she's off feed...but I'm just not convinced.

If this goes well, I might think about giving boas another whirl....or not.

Yeah our season been sucking. One full slug out of 7 eggs and then one female layed 5 slugs 1 good small egg that turned out normal! Got 7 clutches hoping for 3 more. It is what it is and just go with the flow. It will get better... or worse

Things picked up a bit - I think I'm at about 40 eggs, with possibly a couple clutches still to come. Ordinarily, I wouldn't have produced this many ball pythons; but I didn't breed anything else this year.

First clutch is mostly out - looks like 5 mojaves. Not sure if there are any I'd rank as a keeper; but I'll have to pick one.

Very nice amount of eggs, one of these years I'll get there. Had 2 girls drop a clutch on the same day, 6 and 6. Hoping to have a few more, but may just get late clutches this year.

It's more baby BPs than I'd ordinarily be willing to deal with, lol...especially with the current prices; but I took a couple years off, so I guess I'm up for it. Don't get me wrong - bullsnake prices were lower, and I produced at least this many of them on a regular basis until I moved to this house. (The difference being that I enjoy bullsnakes much more than ball pythons.)
I won't be holding much back this year, either - a few for pet projects, and maybe a couple that I really like the looks of...but I'm thinking this is the year that I reduce my BP population by at least half.
