In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A really sad sight

I was browsing the reptileauctions tonight and I came across this auction under the category Leopard Geckos on the second page
I cannot believe that this seller has this animal up for auction as I doubt that it would survive the shipping if someone did bid on the pair and purchase them
I did write to him privately and ask if he would please get the animal to a vet and pull the auction
I don't really have much hope that he will do as I suggested but maybe the gecko will get lucky and get seen by a vet

This gecko is beyond sad

That is sad!

That really is sad! He doesn't even mention that it is sick. I bet he doesn't pull it. I bought a pair of Leopard geckos awhile back and it said the same thing, ready to breed. When the pair got to me the male was skinny just like that. My luck the vet was out of town for a wk and it died before he got back. It ate like there was no tomorrow but could never gain weight. Everyday it got skinnier and skinnier. :(

Unfortunately when i checked my mail this morning -I found that my email came back bounced to me as "unable to be delivered" at the Addy that has listed with the auction
I was trying to do this privately but i guess that am just going to have to post it as a public question
I'm sorry to hear about your Leo-it sounds like it was full of parasites-just a guess on my part-but that example just illustrates my point as to what will most likely happen if this poor creature even makes it through shipping to it's new home if it is purchased
This is obviously not a case of a bad angle in a pic taken
That poor creature is starving to death

Sandy
PS-I went back and posted my comment publicly and I see that someone else has already made mention of the fact that the male is ill

It was me!

Hey, it was me that posted on it. I just couldn't stand seeing that and thinking that some poor kid or beginner might actually buy them and it die right before getting to them or right after.
It's people like that, out to make money and not care about the animals that makes me so mad!
