In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just curious to see what everyone would recommend or suggest. My new babies just ate their first meal (with me) on Saturday late morning. How long should someone let them digest before handling them ( I use to give them 2-3 days)?

I personally don't handle babies for about 2 months or so after being born. Sure I handle them to clean cages, but I don't handle them to "hang out".

I avoid handling the day before and the day after feeding, but every BP's different. Some of mine don't like being handled much, so I only get them out a couple times a month to keep them hand tame. My favorite girl likes to be handled daily and it's hard for her to wait. I can handle her the day before feeding, but still avoid the day after. Mine are 2 to 3 years old. Hope that helps and good luck with your little babies!

If they're good eaters, I don't worry about it all that much. The picky ones I tend to leave alone for the day before feeding, and a day after. Good eaters, I haven't seen any problem with handling them shortly after feeding, or right before, etc. By handling, I don't mean that I'm gonna take them to a snake show, or to the park, or store (like I do..lol). But I'll check them out for 5-10 minutes shortly after they ate.
