    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

AIRBORNE, DHL, RICHARD WILSON, and MY LOST PACKAGE

I've no idea who is right or wrong here and since you have the snakes and he has the money, it doesn't really matter. I am curious though, who decided that the seller has a responsibility to call the buyer and "ATTEMPT TO CALM ME AND REASURE ME "? Maybe it's just me, but I'm a grown man who has dealt with difficult situations in his life and have no need of a stranger calling to make me feel all better about my missing snakes. I sympathize with what must have been a difficult situation to deal with, but that statement just struck me as a bit whiney and maybe an attempt to find any possible wrong with the seller that you could. You stretched it a bit.

DHL/AIRBORNE

I think neither John nor Richard can be blamed. I don't think that these two blaming one another will help either. Its simply the awful nature of shipping reptiles. I have had bad experiences with DHL/Airborne too and its just a nightmare. I have received shipments from all carriers at one time or another and DHL/Airborne is the worst.

Also, BE CAREFUL with the guaranteed arrival by 10:30 or 12noon or whenever simply b/c in my experience, when this service was paid for, my snakes did not arrive until close to 5pm. I contacted the seller for help since two is better than one when trying to investigate a package in limbo. I contacted DHL/Airborne and a customer service rep told me that I lived in a rural area and that arrival is not guaranteed by any specific time. Meanwhile, the company is quick to collect money for this 'guaranteed arrival by 10:30am" service. And I do not live in a rural area by any means...but I do according to DHL so what can anyone do. I did not blame the seller who shipped simply b/c how could they know? especially if they use the service 99% of the time with other buyers in other parts of the country and things work just fine. My animals were fine when they finally arrived so I let my pursuit of DHL's bad business practices go, since its a huge waste of time.

I guess we can try to request another method of shipping from sellers so we do not support the negative business practices of a company (DHL/Airborne) that does not care the slightest bit about its customers.

Regardless, I do not doubt that Richard and John both care for their animals very much. I hate to see it end in such a way where these two are upset with one another over something that really is out of their control. I imagine that its trial and error with any/all shipping companies until someone creates the perfect method, and even then, I'm sure errors will occur. There are so many factors that can cause a bad shipping scenario, its hard to control it perfectly. well,just my 2cents.

I use airborne as well. I agree it is not the best company to deal with but it is the nature of shipping animals. As far as the problem hear...this was just a misunderstanding caused by a nosy neighbor and a not so concerned buyer. When ever i recieve a package from airborne I am constantly checking my front door. They never knock...they just drop it. But I have never had the problem with the nosy neighbor getting invovled.

hello michael
nosy neighborh not concerend buyer? dude how do you figure? i was keeping a eye at the door i plane and simply missed the guy .how exactly does that make me unconcerened? and as for my neighbor looking out and bringing the package into his home so it would not get stolen or bake in the sun how does that exactly make him nosy? look i started this thread looking for advice the moderator asked me to start a new one mentioning airborne and richard thats what i did here is the deal this isnt a bad guy thread this is just a thread mentioning my experiences with this event airborne sucks plain and simple bottom line as far as richards customer service well you people make up your minds as for me i was home waiting on a package never heard the airborne guy honk his horns like a mad man (like he always does) the package was droped off on my stoop somewhere in between all this my neighbor sees the packge brings it into his home so the animals would not die or end up stolen(i dont live in the greastes neighborhood)i make calls i think the package is stolen i get crappy service all around the board the package turns up i let everyone know . it could have happend to anyone and anyone would have acted the way i did and if you say no you wouldnt have then your full of it bottom line the animals are fine and in my possesion let it die already
