Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Been thinking about this a lot lately.... A lot of people got banned or suspended during the crackdown of the rules a while back, and it doesn't seem right that I keep them banned now that I have rolled back the strictness of the rules.

There were some other people who got banned for just cause here and there, and although I certainly felt it to be prudent at the time, I guess it's time to just let it go. So those bans have been lifted as well. But with the caveat that if some noteable persons come in here and immediately cause trouble, I will have no hesitation at all about booting them out the door again.

But I am willing to give everyone another chance, even some that I cringed at when I lifted the ban on them.

But it is Christmas day and I am just going to try to look on the bright side and hope for the best. I have had some people who were banned contact me about being reinstated, and I did so, with no regrets so far. So what the heck........ I've mellowed out some over time, so perhaps they did as well.

We'll just have to see, I guess.....

Looking for the good in people.....it's an interesting concept which I have been giving much thought to of late.

Last June, I did and said some things that I am not proud of. I posted a heartfelt and sincere apology, but it seems it was not seen by very many people... especially those that were hurt by my actions.

I would like the opportunity to apologize again. I am deeply sorry that my behavior hurt so many. Especially you, Rich. It will never happen again.

I truly hope we all can "let it go" and move on to a better, happier New Year.
 
Rich, we have already spoken privately, but I would also like to apologize again as well. Life is too short and I agree with Marcia, we ALL need to let it go and move on from here. Merry Christmas Fauna.
 
Thank you all. Life is far too short to be wasting any of it in conflicts. Especially those based on misunderstandings and misinterpretations. There are enough seriously bad people out there that such attention and efforts really should be directed towards. When people see apparently "good guys" going after each other, I think it certainly causes pause for cause about the credibility of ANYONE involved in other discussions.

Maybe it would just be best in the coming year for us all to try to take a path of more tolerance towards others. Assume the best until proven otherwise. And don't take words typed in some poorly constructed post or overly influenced by emotion of the moment as being positive evidence or a deadly insult or permanent injury. Time generally will heal most wounds, if you let it without picking at the sore yourself.

Well this is not saying that no one will ever be banned here again, so I hope no one takes it that way. Matter of fact, just a few days ago I banned someone who decided to take pot shots at me for giving him a warning point for profanity.

In some ways I have mellowed out quite a bit. But from another perspective, I have come to realize that I don't want to allow anyone to use my own sites to belittle me with. :D But maybe they'll get their own amnesty next Christmas. Or not......... I don't know how I will feel about it then.
 
What matters most is that you felt like doing it THIS Christmas. I'm not sure exactly how many were banned and who they all are, but I'm hoping that those you welcomed back will not disappoint you.
