    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I recieved these E- mail from a guy interested in doing buisness.I am sure it is yet another scam.Is there anyway to cause this scammer any discomfort at all? Here are the Emails the first E mail is twords the bottom of the thread.

Regarding payment, I have a BussinessAssocaite of mine who reside in the states, i have instructed him to issued you a certified check of $3500 which will carter for the cost price and for shipping of the Snake,

I have an International shipper that will be coming over for the pick-up and ship of the Snake over to me, its expensive though, So as soon as you receivce the check and get it cash at any cashing stores near you, then you will deduct the cost price $315 and also $100 for feeding of the Snake from my balance before my shipper comes for pick up, then you will wire the remaining funds meant for shipping to my International shipper via Western Union to my shipper which my shipper will used to come over for the pick up of the Snake at your distination, this is highly on TRUST. I hope i can trust you for the Money............. Immediately after the funds has been wire to my shipper, then my shipper will proceed immedaitely to come over to your destination for the pick-up.

those are pretty much the first variations that have been going on since last year and even longer.. nothing new..

one big giveaway is the stupid thing about a client and sending you a cashiers check and trusting you with it and what not..

another big giveaway is the generic email with the fields in brackets for the particular animal...
ie. i am interested in your one (BOAS) you have listed. I would like to buy your advertised (BOAS) at asking price.. etc., etc...

Go along with the scam....lol

Personally I think it would be a good idea to go along with the scam and receive the bogus Cashiers Check and waste there time, effort and postage and top it off and say the check was never received and ask that they send another....lol
If everyone done this I think they would give it up because they wouldn't know for sure if the potential victom was onto them and was wasting there effort.

I say someone starts an email database with all the scammers email addresses. So when we get bored we can send them emails....nice emails of course..

Look at these emails I have received since directing a little hate mail to the scammers.Please note the time the E mails were sent.It says it was sent 9-21-04 at 2 59 am.Well if this guy is in TX like he says that would be impossible! Very Wierd! It not even the 21st in TX or Kansas...lol. Let me know your thoughts on this so I dont waste any more time with these A$$holes.

This sounds very familiar.This is the first e mail he sent me regarding the snakes.The times on these E mails dont match our time zones at all.They would match a time zone on the other side of the planet though.

I just noticed that the same guy that E mailed Shawn has the same E mail as this "Jerry" jjr@yahoo from Texas.Way too many similarities.I think I got another scammer or pissed off the one from before...lol.I think I will tell this guy to piss off/Any better ideas before I do it?This really has gotten out of control.

Heres another!

Im gonna keep this guy going and try to cause him a little discomfort.I will see how many times he will send out the bogus check.This is really tickn me off! The two people who have asked about purchasing my snakes have both been scammers...lol .Im just glad they wont get a chance to scam me or hopefully anyone who reads this thread.I dont think any true justice will come out of this,but Karma is a beach.

Send checks to the FBI

You should send all of the checks to the FBI, so they can nail the guy.

Do a search for Church Of The Red Breast on yahoo or google. It should bring you to web page about these Nigerian scams and a few kids called flipping the tables on the 419 scammers.

For those of you familiar with what I post above youre already laughing.

The funniest thing is to hear about scammer getting scammed out his own money!
