    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm looking to see if anyone has purchased from Sheryl in the past, she showed up on Kingnsnake with a clutch of tri-color hognose for sale (that ad has been taken down and now the 'email' address that I was using for her through kingsnake no longer works, but I don't know if that's normal for kingsnake). She asked me about FC and I told her to go for it, so her ad is up here now.

So far she's been good and commutative (I have only just asked about her Kingsnake ad so she hasn't had time to respond as to why she pulled it). She says she has sold geckos on line in the past through Facebook, but I don't have an account).

I'm just poking around to see if anyone knows or has purchased from her before.
 
I have sold Chahoua to her and spoken with her and her husband on the phone about their tricolors since i breed them as well. The both of them seemed like totally legitimate people and I fully plan on trading tricolors with them to diversify bloodlines. I would also not hesitate to purchase from them as they seem very honest and genuine.
 
I don't have Facebook so it's hard to search for people on it. I had asked her for a link but I think since we were chatting through KS the link didn't show. Thank you though, it's good to know that she's known by people on here. She's got some good looking little worms :)

Just a quick note regarding one thing you mentioned in your first post. The ads on Kingsnake are not free, so it may well be that the time period for which the ad was purchased expired and the advertiser chose not to pay for another ad until all potential sales arising from the initial ad were fully explored.

Ah. That makes sense. I wasn't too concerned about the ad being gone, it was more the fact that the email stopped working. I would have thought that KS would still let you chat with the seller even if the ad expired. Thanks!
 
If the only emails you sent to the seller were sent through the Kingsnake web site, that ability for contact was stopped the minute the ad expired. However, I advertise on Kingsnake and people who respond via the" contact me" link in the ads have to give their own personal email addresses when they respond to an ad, so I have their email addresses and can continue conversations with buyers from my end without going through the site long after the ad is taken down. Maybe she was delaying any response to you because of ongoing negotiations with another possible buyer. It's hard to say for sure without knowing all the facts, but it would seem that she cut off the conversation, because she would have known your email address from your first response to the ad even if you didn't know hers. Maybe she was just busy and didn't have a chance to write you back right away.

We were talking through the ad so that must be what happened. I emailed her through here and it's only been a day so I'm not worried about that. I just wanted to see if anyone had info and so far it's all been positive. :). Thanks.
