In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I recently did business with a Jeff Grassi
Holly, MI 48442
(248)328-0889

His full name is Jeffrey Kirk Grassi and he is 32 years of age. As for what he sells. All I know about is bearded dragons. We recently tried to purchase a yellow female bearded dragon for $275. He agreed and was suppose to send the animal out. One week went buy and no reply of to a shipping date. So we called him back, much to our dismay when we contacted him he told us the bearded was sick and he wouldn't ship her. We told him to send the money back and to treat the bearded with tetra cycline. He instead used our money to go to the vet and get the bearded checked up. The vet just told him the same thing we told him to put the bearded on tetra cycline. Anyways another week went buy with no check returned. When we contacted him again he said that the bearded had died and that we were responsible for the vet bill. So that is why I am on here now. I was needing your guys help in finding were this person is and how to contact the local police station in Holly, Michigan. This guy owes us $300 and any aid would be appreciated. Once again this is the info I have on him. Jeffrey Kirk Grassi - Holly, MI 48442 - phone number (248)328-0889.

Thanks to all who will help,

Jeff Grassi is a scammer

Hi,
Jeff Grassi is trying to pull a PayPal scam right now on me. I told him I did not want to ship on a Friday overnight, but he begged me, saying that he had another shipment coming in and he had done it many times before. So, I shipped (through Express Overnight USPS) him 1.3 Beardies and he is claiming one is dead and that one is male instead of female. The lizards,as I had feared, did arrive a day late, however, I told him ahead of time that I had no live-arrival guarantee. He said the USPS has a $100 max claim on Express Mail so I told him to send a picture of the dead lizard (which he could not do) to me so I could claim it, and to keep the lizard in case he had to claim it in person.
I found out it was his responsibility to take the dead lizard to the Post Office to process the claim himself. Then, although I had told him to keep the dead lizard in case he had to take it to the Post Office, he said his girlfriend had thrown it away along with the shipping invoices. Now he has filed a complaint with PayPal against my account and is repeatedly demanding I pay him for the allegedly dead lizard and threatening to do all he can.

He uses his girfriend's (supposedly) PayPal account: [email protected]
This is the shipping info.

Gee, the good Doctor seems to be a student at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. Kind of a funny coincidence that Taron's email to Rob indicated a locale of El Dorado, don't ya think?

Jeff Grassi

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM JEFF GRASSI OR HIS GIRLFRIEND DAWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 2001, I purchased 2 bearded dragons from DawnJeff, ie: Jeff Grassi, To make an extremely long and complicated story short he never sent them. I tried contacting him, and spoke to his mother. She said that he didn't even have any animals. Then I tried local law enforcement, the postal inspector and even the FBI ( because it was a different state) and because the amount was not $50,000 or more they were not interested. They filed all of the reports and say that they are still "investigating". So Jeff if you read this, I haven't forgotten about you or my $650.00

I offered your $275 back several times,I have even saved my sent emails to you TROY LANGHOVER,you refused the money and wanted to keep waiting to see if the lizard would recover from being sick, well she died(good thing I didn't send you a sick lizard huh??)You then wanted the younger female yellow bearded dragon and $75 paypaled to you which I did and I have proof of it.So please don't post lies we took care of the situation and we had several phone conversations and emails and you never said you were that upset,I will admit you did want me to send you the sick lizard but that is not good business,Please remove the post,Thanks,Jeff

IN RESPONSE TO RICK'S COMPLAINT I DID NOT FORCE HIM TO SHIP ON A FRIDAY,I ASKED HIM IF HE COULD SHIP ON FRIDAY.THE LIZARDS DIDN'T ARRIVE UNTIL SUNDAY AND HE KNEW IT WAS COLD IN MICHIGAN AND DIDN'T EVEN SHIP THEM WITH A HEAT PACK. 1 ARRIVED DEAD AND HE TOLD ME TO TAKE A PIC OF IT WHICH I DID WITH MY 35MM CAMERA(HE DID NOT TELL ME TO SAVE THE DRAGON UNTIL THE NEXT DAY) AND I WILL GET IT DEVELOPED ON A KODAK CD, ALSO I BOUGHT WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 1 MALE AND 3 FEMALES,HE SENT ME 2 MALES AND 2 FEMALES(THE 1 DIED) I ASKED FOR 25% OF MY PAYMENT BACK,SINCE ONE WAS DEAD AND I ENDED UP WITH 2 MALES,HOW DOES EVERYBODY ELSE FEEL ABOUT THIS?WOULD YOU WANT SOME MONEY BACK IF YOU BOUGHT 1 ADULT MALE AND 3 ADULT FEMALES AND YOU RECEIVED 2 ADULT MALES AND 2 ADULT FEMALES(1 DEAD)???????????

Last warning. Add your FULL NAMES in a followup message or your previous messages WILL be deleted. The rules here are not that tough to figure out.

Nice try Jeff Grassi, but the truth prevails. You are a scammer.

Jeff Grassi posted a response to my post. However, he forgot to include his name on his post so it may have been deleted. If his post stands, this will shed light on his transparent prevarications ....

---First of all. Yes, you did beg me to ship them on Friday even though I told you I did not want to.

---Secondly, I told you I would not be using a heat pack. You could have refused.

---Thirdly, I purchased the Bearded Dragons from Les Panek and Maureen Brzezniak as 1.3. That is what I received. The beardie named Peepers which you say is male is not male. I called and spoke with Les just to make sure there had been no mixup. He said Peepers is most definitely a female. The only one confused on this point is you. And, they were healthy. It was pitiful of you to try desperately to find a way to get money from me by claiming first that one was dead, then they were sick, and then one was a male instead of a female.

---Finally...Yes, Jeff, you con artist, I did tell you to save the lizard. It is right here in the thread of an email you sent to me. And, the same day (April 7) I told you to save the lizard you mention in this thread that you took the dead lizard to the Post Office. It was not until the next day (April 8) that you said you had thrown it away.

Hi Jeff,
I just spoke with the Express Mail 1-800-222-1811 people and they told me that you will have to take the dead dragon along with the shipping label/info to your local Post Office and file a "Damaged Item" claim. They said if your local post office tells you differently you should call the Express Mail department and they will contact your local Post Office to correct them. Rick

Jeff,
Also, hold on to the dead one in case you have to file the claim on your end.
Thanks,

Hi Jeff,
I called to check on them. Still no clue as to where they are. However, they mentioned that in addition to the $100 max on the claim, they also reimburse the shipping which was $27.30.

Reply to RICK

Rick I paid $400 for 4 lizards, one was dead,I wanted $100 back, you sent $12 back,so I filed a complaint with paypal for the other $88,I did not post on here that you don't know how to properly package lizards or help work with someone when they receive a DOA,and 04-06-03 you said take a pic of the DOA,then on 04-07-03 you said to keep the dead lizard,I suggest we both drop it and I just take my less,I don't think people will be happy to here your shipping methods, this is helping neither one of us,so we need to delete the ads

Response to warning

This is in response to your warning. I am happy to list my full name, Alex Muir.

I bought 4 bearded dragons from Rick Scharping,
316-838-8903,
[email protected],and he knew it was below freezing in Michigan where I live and he did not put a heat pack in the box.Needless to say instead of next day air it ended up being second day air and the smallest one was dead,He charged me $400 for the lizards and sent me $12 back,What a rip-off! He could have atleast sent me the full shipping money since USPS reimbursed him for the lizards not arriving next day air!! But instead he goes on this forum and say watch out for me???? I am the one who got the short end of the stick on this deal!!! What nerve of him to go on and say Beware of Jeff Grassi, that is proposterous!! I paid him for animals!!! And did not get what I was supposed to get!!!!!BE VERY WEARY OF BUYING FROM HIM!!!!!!!!!OH YEAH RICK,I'M HAVING THE FILM DEVELOPED AND WILL EMAIL YOU A PICK OF THE DEAD DRAGON, Have a good day and please if someone buys animals from you, package them properly!!!!!!!(atleast for the animals sake)

What a mess!!

This is all very convoluted, but I'd like clarification on one thing:

I sent you $12 from the shipping refund and kept $15.30 for the $15 you said you were going to PayPal me (the 3% charge). I sent it to this [email protected] e-mail address. I hope this is the same as your PayPal account. Rick
Isn't it against the TOS to charge someone an additional 3% to cover the processing fee? I believe the wording is that a seller agrees to NOT impose a surcharge or fee for accepting PayPal as payment.

Just an observation.

I don't think any of the involved parties are looking very good in this deal...but I've been warned before about not having enough coffee before I state an opinion....I better stop here until tomorrow.;)

good deal

All other name calling and bickering aside...I just finished a deal with Jeff for a 1.5 group of dragons. not more than 15 minutes after unpacking them Jeff called me to check on their condition and my satisfaction. All 6 animals came in healthy and alert with all toes and tails intact. I am very satisfied with my transaction with Jeff and the quality of his animals. From our conversation and finding out what else he had cooking, I plan to get more dragons from him later this season.

Jeff Grassi did not scam me

I just bought 2 8week old beardies from Jeff Grassi and Dawn, and had absolutely no problem. I bought them on Sunday, and they were shipped Monday. They arrived packed nicely, very large and healthy and alert. I had great communication with these guys, and they were more than willing to answer any questions. I don't know about all the bickering going on last year, but I can personally attest to the quality of my experience as excellent-

I talked to Troy Langhover on the phone yesterday(which is who this deal was with, not with the person who posted this message) and he said his little brother must have posted it and that he was satisfied with our transaction,I hope he posts a reply to this to clear it up,I do have several good references,If you ever want a bearded dragon and see me selling on kingsnake do not hesitate to buy from me,I will give you several positive references,Thanks Jeff.

Dawn

I am not aware of who Jeff is, but I have recently done business with Dawn. She has asked me to post a reply to this thread and I am more than willing and will be completely honest.
I purchased two female dragons from Dawn. I purchased the yellow sub adult first and PayPalled her for the female immediately. Then I noticed she had an older female that would fit in better with my collection - I wanted her instead and was willing to cover the difference between their prices. She said she'd already removed the ad from Kingsnake for the yellow sub adult, so I could not switch and had to pay in full for the other female. Disappointed, I decided to forego my truck payment and get this female that I wanted very badly. (bad of me, I know - addictions can be painful - But I assumed a friend of mine would be interested in the yellow sub adult.)
I received both in a timely manner and they arrived fine - although the yellow sub could stand to put on a bit of weight, the other was fat as a tick. When I asked, she provided me a pic of whom the older girl was bred to in case she lays eggs before she is bred to Blaze. (I want to cover all of my bases here).
I do have to admit the girls were not as they were represented. Both girls were to be yellow. I didn't receive yellow dragons. Nothing could make me more happier to discover that they were orange and red instead!! I knew immediately that she kept her dragons under Murcury vapor lamps due to my past experience with them. But, the 24 hours away from the lamp let their true colors come in. Unless you have yellow animals folks - DO NOT USE MURCURY VAPOR LAMPS!! Not to mention some results have shown a build up of murcury in autopies performed on dragons (have to remember where I saw that info - I just remember hearing/reading it).
I will post the before and after pics to show what I mean:
Suburst female (my friend did want and I was able to make my truck payment! Although after seing her - it was hard to part with her!!):
<img src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL50/481546/622981/23903791.jpg"> <img src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL50/481546/1726684/23619636.jpg"> <img src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL50/481546/1726684/23619601.jpg">

Adult female:
<img src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL50/481546/622981/23903785.jpg"> <img src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL50/481546/1177470/23901792.jpg"> <img src="http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL50/481546/1177470/23901852.jpg">

Despite the color misrepresentation of the murcury vapor bulb - (Dawn stop using murcury vapor - orange and red dragons are worth more than yellow ones!) and having to buy two to get the one I really wanted (which didn't end up turning out bad since my friend was able to get the other one - thank you Marsha!!), I had a good experience with Dawn. I was really pleased with the true color of these two dragons - no, Dawn it is not their dark colors, it is their real color even fired up they do not turn yellow- they really have very little yellow in them and that is a good thing for me!) I am happy - still have to get a stool sample to the vet - but so far they are great. Thanks Dawn!
Sorry for the long post

Wow they are beautiful without the mercury vapor bulbs,I will switch bulbs, what do you recommend???Dawn and Jeff Grassi:)
