In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Anyone, vision

I've switched over almost comletely...

...to Vision Racks.
They are light & easy to move around.
Since I do tend to move residences pretty often too, they're light construction helps in that dept.
Buy extra heat cable as not enough is supplied.
The only real problem I have is that sterilite has terrible quality control issues with the 15qt sized tubs. Different lots can vary by nearly a 1/4'' in height!!! :shrug01: I haven't noticed this problem with the 32qt.
I also haven't tried any other tub vendors yet, but probably will get around to that eventually.
I don't think I'll go with Vision for hatchling racks. Since they only get used for a short time during the year, I'd rather not waste the space.
For hatchling racks I go with PMherps.com 40 tub racks. They take up very little space, but it is back heat only.

I use the Vision CB70 rack and like it very much. I do not have any experience with their Hatchling racks.

The adult rack was priced well, assembled easily, and has a very adaptable heating setup with the heat rope. My floor to ceiling temps vary about 10 degrees in my snake room and I was having issues heating my other rack evenly because I could not vary the heat per level. The Vision rack uses the Heat Rope and you can add as little or as much per level to ensure you have equal coverage. I did not need to purchase more Heat Rope than came supplied but it took me a good five or six tries to get it right. The bottom four levels have the most tape and the upper levels have less. At the very top I have only a few runs of the rope. Buying a little more rope would definitely make life easier but I did not find it required.

As I just got the rack on the 6th of April, it will take some time to be sure the setup is tuned but looks good so far.

Good luck with the hatchling racks.

I am actually surprised to see this many happy reports on these racks. I have read a lot of negative feedback and, frankly, I am pretty unimpressed with them. I will say that I did not by the CB70 rack, not that I think that would matter much. My review of them is here: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?p=499189#post499189

As for the above comment regarding the 15 qt tubs - check the box ID numbers. when they change molds, they get a new number. I ran into that same problem with the 28 qt sterilites, and later noticed that they had different numbers. If your 15 qts are all 1754, they should be the same size
