    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a guy looking to trade me a pair of black pastel 50% pied ball pythons for my argentine Tegu. From what i've seen price wise they aren't all that cheap and he's only asking $150 or the pair. They are 2014 babies though. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes they are both black pastels. I wouldn't consider the 50% het in the price though.
 
Oh okay. Even just the black pastels I've seen on some sites are 175 for males. Just didn't want to get cheated on what i was getting. Thanks for the reply!!
 
Those look like black pastels to me, not the best in my opinion but those are the morph.
 
Yeah I figured they weren't the best. Just getting into acquiring some and they wanted to trade so figured it would save me some money for now.
 
The trade value depends on you, if your happy with it, then why not. But if your going to regret it, no deal. Some people solely trade based on money value. Others will trade for what they want.
 
As Jessie said, it's about what you want. Think carefully...
If you accept the trade, will it be because you want them for yourself; or is your plan to flip them? Regardless of the answer, you should then consider your thought about the particular specimens - would you actually buy them? If the look doesn't please you, you'll likely feel that you made a bad deal...and, if the plan is to flip, will it be easy to do so? I've turned down snakes that people were offering me for free because I didn't like the way they looked - I wouldn't have purchased them for myself, so the logic was simple.
If your primary goal is getting rid of the tegu, the BPs will be easier to care for & take up less space.
 
Yeah I like the pair. I'm just getting into the morphs and only have an albino right now. Thinking about adding a spider and pastel along with the black pastel. Not looking for things to make a lot of money with. Just experiment with different breedings. My wife thinks they look too normal though. Lol
 
Those black pastels can make some nice looking babies when combined with other projects. Would also be cool if they proved out to be het pied the your on the road to panda pieds after you produce some blk pastel pieds!

that's what i was thinking too. i don't mind the wait on breeding. Not looking to make a living off them. Just something fun and i enjoy getting them. I have always wanted and albino and pied. Just can't afford the pied right now. so why not try to prove them out and see what happens.
