In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Baby and Cobra

ahhhh, a little snake charmer in the making. I wouldn't wish the thread popping on the baby - he's not the one that got himself into that situation - but SOMEBODY deserves to get bitten over that

I don't know what to say. :shrug01:

Just when you think you've seen rock bottom, someone will always crash right through. I shudder at what I've seen rock bottom to be when I am 70.

I agree that this is absolutely awful. I dont like the sewing of the snakes mouths to begin with. I have seen this kind of ignorance even with people I know. When I had my cobra people used to always ask me if its "fangs were cut out" and of course I just gave them a stupid look lol. As terrible as this is though the kids facial expressions are classic. Everytime the snake strikes it gives it that what the :censored: is your problem look, and just continues on for the tail and eventually gets the neck. The poor snake is under so much stress though, its just not fair to the animal, plus I bet you that on the last part where the cobra wraps its tail around the kid he got a foul smell on him, everytime I tailed mine I got hit with something a bit funky. Sadly there isnt much that can be done about this stuff, people over there care not about learning different ways, they have done this stuff for generations, and will most likely continue to do it for generations, its sad. Plus that was an absolutely gorgeous cobra that looked in great shape, and now it will be killed slowly for no reason, its a shame. Dan M.

Honestly, I don't think the mouth was sewn. I believe that they rip the teeth out. Which is horrible, cuz they don't cut them, they RIP them out.

The reason I say that is because many places in India actually worship the cobras, and hold special festivals for them. The do feed them quite well.

They (If I remember right) find it to be an honor to touch and play with the cobras.

So, although very wrong to hurt and stress the cobras. They will most likely take good care of them.

Again, please don't lecture me if I am wrong. But I am pretty certain that this is how parts of India feels.

Whether or not the snakes mouth was sewn, the fangs removed, whatever have you, theres a parent or two and some observers that deserve a good sandal in the ass for that stunt.

Or, let's look at it this way.

In India in particular, snake hunting is a family business handed down from father to son for generation after generation.

Now just suppose that great great great great great grandpa Sanji had the same done to him by his father as was done to him by his.

I've seen snake mouths sewn shut and while it can be done in messy and hurtful ways, it can also be done so that very little, not none mind you, damage is done. I've seen it first hand to several snakes that had this "treatment'' several times and they never even went off feed.

Our culture says BozoNono, but ours, believe it or not, is not the only culture out there with the right to do with its people and creatures as it sees fit.

Have any of you who object so strenuously to that video ever put a baby up to a dog without a muzzle?

Without knowing more, the whys and howcomes, I don't think any of us have the right to say that's wrong. It's wrong to many of you, but you are not of that culture.

Personally, I wouldn't do it but, I am of another culture.
