In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I suggest start feeding him the baby food right away, but small amounts since he is so small. Bathe him a few times a day for 10-20 minutes to make sure he is hydrated. What does his stool look like? Do you have proper heat and UVB for him?
Do his eyes and head look sunken in? There is something called oxbow carnivore critical care you can get at your vet or order offline but that should be fed in small amounts as well. I wouldn't wait long to care for him by force feeding as he might not make it if you don't act right away

Just saw the Pics, he looks very dehydrated. Bathe him frequently in warm water but start as soon as possible
Good luck

I just fed him some baby food.his stools are brown and white not runny and his eyes and head are not sunkin in.I have uvv and his basking is 100 degrees I'm pulling for him.thank you so much for the advice.

I have no advice but I'm pulling for him too, I think it is terrific that you are trying to help the tiny little guy.
I agree on keeping him hydrated if you can.

I agree with every thing that Headcreeps has suggested.

I would feed him, very small amounts of babyfood (chicken) 4-5 times a day, every 2 to 3 hours if possible, I would mix some of the baby food with some pedilite & syringe feed him. Cover the whole bottom of his tank in paper towels and moisten them in the morning & mid afternoon (in addition to his soaks, he will absorb fluids through his skin from the paper towels). You don't want him sleeping on wet towels so if they are still wet in the early evening, remove them.

Most important is yo keep him hydrated.

I am pulling for him. Good luck.

Hopefully he starts eating on his own soon, keep him hydrated and force feed him a little enough to maintain his weight.
Another thing is he is so young and in a new environment, he could be very stressed. As long as his stool is looking normal and he's being bathed frequently I feel he will pull through.

Yes add pedialyte to his bathing water! Great suggestion snake-queen

Thank you.

I have quite a bit experience at pitifully young babies ... this one is maybe a week or two (with the umbilical cord area still visible, that is my estimate). I have had a few that people have brought me to shows I vend at that they got from petco/petsmart that are not thriving. :( some I could save, some I could not. This little one seems to have a good chance.

alright guys I did everything you guys recommended for the little Guy but he did not pull through the night.I think it was a little to late for him.Now I have bigger issue the lady's dad, boyfriend and brother are calling and telling me I need to replace her dragon cause I was supposed to make him better and give him back.I told them that I would take it and try to make him better there was no garuntee.now I ha e no money and I'm trying to replace a dead dragon that I was supposed to give back. any ideas on what I should do.

Sounds like THEY could not care for it in the first place, so why on earth would you be responsible for making right on an animal they helped, basically, to kill? You did your best, if they wanted a guarantee that it would be better they should have brought it to the vet MUCH sooner.

ya I don't know but they have been calling all morning and telling me they can get the police involved if I don't replace the lizard.see what happens when you try and do something nice you get threatened and then told this is all my fault ahh start of a bad day.

It is their fault for letting the poor thing get that bad in the first place. You tried to help them out & repair what they did. It isn't your fault, so you do not owe them a dragon.

I am sorry they are blaming you, when they should reflect on how it got that way in the first place.

The police will not do anything, this is a civil dispute.

Did you tell them you would replace it if it died? Was that even on the table when they gave it to you? If not ignore their threats. Let them call the police.

I told them I would try and help him with no garuntee I said nothing about replacement I guess they just figured I would.

any ideas on what I should do.
Yes. The pictures you posted were pitiful. I would tell them that the next time they call, you will forward the pictures to the police/animal control/cruelty division and explain that they let the lizard get into this condition, it died despite your attempts to help, and they are harassing you. Send a copy of this thread too if you want. Then if they call, just do it.
I wouldn't LET them have another lizard after the way this one looked when they gave it to you.
RIP little lizard :(

That poor baby! Its sad to see something like that happen. you tried your best in a no win situation, and the people you where trying are the ones to blame for the dragons death. For that animals sake do not replace him with another animal that may find his/her death at the hands of those individual that don't know what they are doing

"just my two cent on a crappy situation"

That sucks he didn't make it.
I agree with what everyone has said about these people threatening you. Take it easy, they can't do anything to you. All you can do is explain how the situation truly went down and you do not owe them a thing.
Have a good day :)
