    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i have a baby carpet, not sure of age but he's only about 18" or so. the previous owner fed him F/T, but i didn't have anything small enough, so ibeen tried to feed him live, but he hasn't eaten in almost 2 months, after repeated introduction, and now he won't take f/t, p/k, or live. and i'm not 100% positive he fed for the previous owner, they just told me he did. what do i do now?

You haven't given us much to work with. Temps, set up, what are you trying to feed?

medium 12x12x18, basking temp of about 92, cool side of 80-81. on a paper towel, with a sandblasted grape vine to bask on and an exo terra small rock hide on the cool side.

What the heck have you been trying to feed him that he won't take live? You may be going too small with the prey. Carpet babies typically want prey that is bigger than the uninitiated think they should have...partly because nestlings don't move enough to catch their interest. Also, heated prey works best if you're using f/t...and youngsters aren't likely to take something left on the floor or dangled by the tail. Look for me in chat sometime - easier to discuss in real time.

he's eaten now, it may have been the move, i've dealt with baby carpets before, he took a large fuzzy. i just left it in with him for a couple hours and he took it

That's great to hear! It's always so frustrating when your snake won't take their food. I have one ball python here that won't eat if I dangle it in front of her but when I leave the live hopper in the enclosure for her to eat on her own time, she usually tags it in about a half hour.

i cant get my baby carpet to eat off tongs prob cause food is too cold but she eats after i leave her in a deli cup over night with the mouse >.< she's only taken off tongs 2 times first alot of teasin and then second i like had the mouse under hot water for like 3 mins after it thawed soo it was like expolidin after my carpet constricted it .-. hopefully she is easy when shes an adult and she seems afraid when i feed her as if im gonna eat her ><
