    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I traded Cris Brodbeck of 247 reptiles months ago. I traded him 2 adult female retics and 3 adult burm morphs for his lizards or geckos. After picking his stuff up he never brought his animals back to my house. He just stole my snakes. I have text messages for proof. I will be at the all ohio reptile show this month, If anyone would like to see the text. I have done transactions with cris before so I can't believe he stole from me. He will no return phone calls or text.

But also, why meet the guy, give him the snakes, and expect the lizards in return the "next time" he comes by?
I may have misunderstood, but why didn't you wait to give him the snakes until he had the lizards with him to do an even trade in one meeting, right then and there?

How often have you tried contacting him after the initial meet-up? Were you ever able to contact him again afterwards?
 
I have text messages. I just said I can show them to anybody at my local reptile show. He pick up the snakes at my house and was going to bring my stuff to me in a couple weeks. I have had transaction with him before and never got ripped off so I figured he was trust worthy. There is all types of proof to a crime not just emails. I am a old school her per to so take it easy on me not go with teck stuff. It has been over 6 months try to reach him everyweek.
 
But according to BOI rules, any and all available proof should be posted here. I won't be at the reptile show, so how can I see the proof?

Not that I don't trust you...I don't trust anybody. And not trying to stand up for the bad guy, but for people to make a decision on whether or not they want to trust this guy, most people need to see proof. Has he been made aware of this thread, as well? Even though he's likely ignoring you, he should still know that this is here.
 
He is working I guess with the kick brothers in bufflo new York and saling stuff for them at shows and online. Sorry for miss spelling in top thread 1st smart phone. The auto correct is cool but killing me at the same time.

I saw the mention of the Kick brothers and Megan has provided some threads so that readers can get an idea of who they are.
But I'd still like to see proof here. The OP has said he has had other satisfactory dealings with this person. I have no horse in this race but I'd still like to see more particulars of this transaction.

Alex, I find some of your ideas about buyer responsibility interesting. Here, from another thread:

Why do you think your getting such good deals. So far all the snakes purchased are a live and well but I checked them out really well before buying. They also tell you if they are eating or not. So it is up to you buy or walk away.

My opinion is true buy a 500 car and it breaks. I go to lots of reptile shows and they always have ton of people at there table. Its your job to make sure its not sick. I am a breeder and I charge 4 x what they do. He started working for kick after he stole my snakes.

I don't agree with the 'buyer beware' concept or that cost is necessarily an indication of health. (How is it possible to absolutely determine the health of a critter at a table anyway?)
There are sellers here that have such a stellar reputation that I would feel comfortable buying a $20 corn snake from them although I would quarantine anything no matter the price.

But my point was that you seem happy to espouse the buyer beware concept and imply a buyer didn't do his job if he got stuck with a sick snake, but you feel somehow that the buyer beware concept doesn't apply to your trade, that it is the other side's duty to ethically complete the trade.
 
Your right Lucille and made a lot of good points. That goes for 99% of tables. I was talking about the kicks table its buy at your own risk and they will tell you that. They buy and sale reptiles so fast it will make your head turn. So if anyone buys 10 crested geckos for 80 bucks and cries that half of them died I don't want to here it. The kicks have been vending for over 20 years. Im sick of the boo hoo stories. Buy off a breeder and get a healthy animal and spend some money. I watched someone buy a snake off them that just regurged its meal in the display case. It was super cheap so they bought it. They probably came on here and filed a boi.
 
I like how I report a theft and I get judged. This site is starting to suck. This is my 2 complaint on someone in 10 years. The first complaint I filed ended in me winning hands down. She still post stuff for sale you didn't even kick her off. If she were a guy she would have been out of here. It was on 2 fauna action and you had all the proof. You guys emailed sorry and didn't even banned her.
Cris brodbreck is a thief until he makes good on his end of deal. I will not post anymore on this subject unless its to tell everyone that cris made good.

Apparently you have a misconception of how things work here.
People are not banned from this site for bad business practices, regardless of whether they are male or female.
People are only banned for violating the site rules.
The BOI is here for buyers to research sellers and have the option not to deal with those who have been determined to be unethical or otherwise bad business people, but we are not going to place ourselves in a position of judge or jury and ban people for such things.
To do so would at the same time be a defacto endorsement of anyone who did advertise as not being a bad guy by the fact they were here at all.

I understand your frustration with technical stuff, I have the same, but I think it is worthwhile posting proof if you have it.
 
God I cannot read this stuff half the time. Gives me a headache. Post proof. Easy. How it is done. Told and re told a thousand times over. Dont get butt hurt just post the data. Want help? Post emails, text messages of what you have. It's not about you, It's how this operation works. You want help? Follow direction. Argghhh!
