    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad luck

What kind of crap is this? This poor little guy pipped and was ready to leave the egg but it had tied itself in a knot around the yolk and apparently cut off the supply of something important. It never made it out of the egg. Anyone ever see this happen?

Thanks. Hopefully this isn't any indicator of what to expect this year.

On a side note...Mom is a normal. Anyone wanna guess what dad is?

OMG Chris, very sorry for your loss....I've never seen that before, and hopefully will never see it again....very sad.

Is the umbilical cord twisted to the point where it wasn't getting any yolk? I've heard of that problem before.... White Diamond Reptiles has a little blurb about saving one of his gorgeous pastels who had this problem. Link to the article.

Thanks. The umbilical cord wasn't actually twisted at all. The snake was tied in a knot squeezing it enough to stop the flow. I didn't even realize intervention was necessary until it was too late. They all pipped, 1 was out of the egg but 6 were still in. Then I noticed this one was dead.

Well here's the thing. Mom was bred to a YB male this season. However, last season she was bred by a pastel male but she didn't give me any eggs. I'll post pics once the siblings shed.

Well that's one thing I learned a long time ago. If you're going to keep any kind of animals, you're going to suffer losses. It's just part of the game I guess.

You told me what had happened, but I actually did NOT expect to see the snake tied up like that...that sucks.
On another note...there's more of an answer to your question about sperm retention...
Keep me posted on what's hatchin!

Alright, here's a few pics of some siblings. 1 morph and 1 "normal". It's kinda hard to see but the normal has a star on her head(looks more like an asterisk actually) and she has some white speckles here and there.
