    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

When should bearded dragons begin to eat vegetables on a regular basis? My dragon is about 3 1/2 months old, and i feed him gutloaded crickets 3 times a day as well as a bowl of greens that i leave in his cage all day. He's in great shape, 14 inches and hefty, but he seems to show little interest in the greens, though he will eat some of them every couple of days.

When they are started on them at the breeders, most eat greens really well, but if they did not get started on them in the beggining, it can be hard to get them eating greens regularly until they are several months older. Just keep trying and they will start, I had one that I was throwing out good salads for almost 6 months, now at 4 years she eats more salads with pellets than anything and a boy that is 4 years also that eat no cricekts, a few supers a week but lots of pellets and greens.

The ones that are started on greens slowly taper off on the insects as they get older and increase eating greens.. so just give him som time and he should start to eat them more.

BTW... the fact he eats some greens even is good!

I agree with what Cheri said, i just hatched out some babies about a month ago and kept them on greens from the start and they love them. But all of my adults had to be broken in :hehe: Now they all like their greens.

I offer my babies greens and pellets from day one also. The advantage a breeder has is dragon see, dragon do. It is much easier getting the subsequent babies to eat what the older ones do if they see it.

these are some 4 month old BDs.

thanks, they are eating me out of house and home so anyone looking for a BD can pick up a sweet deal. I need to move some of these guys.

isnt that cage bottom bad for beardies? Dont their little toes get stuck in there and get hurt (cut or broken)??? How is that better than sand or that dirt stuff?

we have been raising them this way for a year now and they all love it. They dont really have a problem with the screen, they run and play. I am thinking about getting a larger screen however for adults that is rubber coated so they dont get nose rubs

Rubber Coated Screen

I was just in Ace Hardware last week, and noticed that they had rolls of rubber coated screen/chicken wire...both small and large holes. I don't know how your stores are around there, but all I've been able to find here is either window screen or metal chicken wire...so finding the rubber coated screen with big holes was definitely exciting. I so HAVE to get a life!
