    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Been lurking for awhile....

....and thought it was finally time to join.

My name is Mark, I'm 47 and live in SW Ohio. I'm divorced and have a 17 year old Son.

We have 5 snakes in total, all corns; a Normal male who is about 12, an Amel female who is about 9 and a 1.2 of h Palmettos, which I only bought last July. I'm hoping to breed them next Spring and I'm actually tossing around the idea of acquiring a visual Palmetto male to increase my odds of visuals for each clutch. I've tempered my expectations, and am not counting on huge clutches from either of my girls, nor am I counting on a huge percentage of them being visual Palmettos. This Spring, I plan on breeding my Normal and Amel to gain some experience in the realm of breeding/incubation/raising newly hatched babies. I've done a LOT of research, but I'm still open to any and all suggestions or tips, so please feel free!

After I get the Palmettos going, I may be interested in some different morphs. I really like scaleless, Okeetees and Cayenne Fires (of which I know ZERO), but I'm getting ahead of myself, now....LOL!

At any rate, I feel like this is a great place to discuss issues and bounce ideas off of people with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and I'm glad to be here.

Thanks for reading!

Mark

P.S. It looks like I've already missed the boat on one visual Palmetto male that was listed on here, so if you know of anyone else pushing one, please let me know! Thanks!

Well, it's about time you quit lurking, lol... Corns are wonderful pets for everyone. I have five of them currently & have bred some in past years, but no longer breeding any snakes- just enjoying them as pets. These days I have mostly other rat snakes: 2.2 Florida aka yellow, 2.1 Trans Pecos, 1.0 Korean, along with 0.1 desert rosy boa (that I bred), a 0.1 Australian spotted python (Antaresia maculosa), & a Texas longnose snake (Rhinocheilus lecontei) for a total of 16 snakes. Good luck with breeding yours, & welcome.
