    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Boa with pied markings

too many claims of pied...

Central Florida Reptile Breeders are selling a pair of (boas with light spots) They say they are siblings, and offspring to parents with the exact same markings. Raising the question again does somebody out there actually have a snake with white spots that may not be burns. Just stating what i saw on their sight. JMHO
 
Well....

I have seen plenty of pied bald Ball Pythons, and never seen just spots like that. It's always part of their pattern that is just all white.

I have never seen or heard of the same trait in boas...

didnt see any pied boas saw saw pied bps no boas what a shocker i picked up some hets from kahl but didnt buy any hets from theses jokers

The vet met us at joe tarries table and said that there is no scaring not on the white spots or any where else that it is pied but he did not no if it would be genitic with the first offsping
but we now that all ready he agead with us that if we breed a female from the offspring back to the father we would get pied boas.And he is printing up documention (paperwork)on both of the pied boas he is joe tarries personal vets.

it was for eamonn and ricks boas, eamonn ended not being able to go so he brought his boa to rick and rick and i met the vet you no theres always people out there that are to thick headed to just say ( ok you were right ) but they now it all and you can't change there mined even with proof so just go on and live your now it all world and god bless your poor soul.

WOW! I'm amazed that a vet would be willing to verify an animal as a piebald with such minimal white (I believe Eamonn said it was about 2%). I'd be interested in seeing the documentation that explains his theory on the genetics of that animal (Eamonn's). Of course, I've not seen Rick's boa, so I have no idea how his boa visually compares with Eamonn's.

Regardless of who says what, the animals are and will continue to be what they are, so I wish the owners of them the best of luck in their breeding projects.
 
Ok how can a Vet look at a snake and say its a PIED???????????? Just because it has spots dont mean JACK. IMHO Its a $100 snake your trying to get big bucks for if someone offered a $1000 for it you should of took it and if it proved out then split the profits ...if not give them back the $900 everybody ive talked to says the same that is no pied

I do love how fast he was at "getting papers" on his snake. Under 24 hours? Thats a new record for genetic testing. Was it one of those back-alley doctor/vet/tattoo/insurance offices he went to?

why arent the people who actually own these boas in question defending themselves ? why is bryan doing all the defending ?
