    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

the private message kept crashing on me so i'll just post it here.

I love you're tote on crack design. I have two new White Lip Pythons added to the family and i need somewhere for them to stay quick. So i was looking at bins and such but lids, viewing, and the desire for an arboreal setup were importaint to me.

Any suggestions on the design before i dig in? what kind of tubs did you decide were the best to use? how do you heat? any long term issues?

Thanks alot!

Hey Daniel,
When it came to tote selection I just played on the tote isle at Target for some time. Basically I got the ones that were the largest I could find that would fit flush together top-to-top. I chose Sterilite totes and I believe that mine are model 1765. I keep Amazon's in this enclosure and I have great success keeping them soley with floor heat. I simply use human heat pad on a thermostat to heat the "tote". It still seams as sturdy as the day I built it. I used super glue designed for plastics because other (sturdier) options were costly and then I caulked a bead of silicone inside and out. The door is 1/4" acrylic.

Good luck with your build. Let me know if you have any more questions... and please share photos of your final results.

got my two halves together. i'm using machine screws to attach the two halves so i can get in and out and also pack them if i need to move. The plexi door has the hinges on it now. still trying to figure out how to get the latches to clear the .220 plext. might have to make a little plate to step them away to clear the door. then the jungle gym inside. I am also making a false bottom to avoid my kids sitting in water if they spill.

I simply used a couple nuts to gap the latches to fit over the door. Good luck with the rest of it and don't forget the pics :)
