• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

BOI® is now a federally registered trademark

Anyone using my legally protected trademark needs to be aware that they are acting in violation of federal law and take any and all necessary steps to remove my mark from your competing sites, forums, blogs, pages, or any other internet based vehicle that places you in legal jeopardy.

You are being given a short grace period in order to comply voluntarily.

I would appreciate some help gathering up any incidences anyone may uncover of illegal use of my trademarked names. Those are "Board of Inquiry", and "BOI" in the context shown that is covered by my trademarks.

So if anyone knows of, or runs across any of these blatant trademark infringements, please report them here in this thread so I can keep a running record of them. A URL should be sufficient.

Thanks....

OK, thanks! Please let me know if you find any more.

The following FaceBook pages have been removed after I filed a claim of trademark infringement with FaceBook management:

If there are any others that I have overlooked, please let me know.

Do Federal trademarks impact Canadian groups on an American owned site?

Heck, I don't know. Not sure I want to pay my trademark attorney in order to find out. :shrug01:

But I sent the list you provided to FaceBook, so I'll just have to see how they rule on it. Might just be that deleting the groups is easier on them instead of trying to split legal hairs determining actual jurisdiction. Looking at it from their perspective, what would be the least headaches for them as a policy?

Thanks....

There's interesting reading to be had if one does a search of the Madrid Protocol.

The first four FaceBook groups are now gone.

I am discussing the matter concerning the Canadian based groups now with FaceBook. I asked them if I were to host a site on one of my USA based servers and allowed admins from another country to name it "FaceBook Too", attempting to capitalize on the look and feel of their own business, would I be in jeopardy of trademark infringement by hosting such a site, even with remote owners? Curious to see what they say. :shrug01:
