Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Need some advice from some experienced cornsnake "folks"...

In my collection I have a female "red" albino cornsnake. I would like to pair her with a male for breeding just so that 1.) my sons can experience first hand the breeding, incubation, etc process (they hope to work with reptiles when they grow up) and 2.) so I can have one of her offspring. I would keep only one, and sell the excess baby snakes to my local exotic pet shop. The problem is that I am a Virginia resident and selling "normals" is against the law here. I have tried researching online to find exactly what varieties I can and cannot breed with my "red" albino so that i don't produce normals, however I have not found anything that an "amatuer" breeder like myself can understand. I know that there is a great wealth of knowledge collected here on this forum so I am respectfully requesting any advice that you can provide. Thank you in advance!
 
My advice is to post this in the discussion forum...unless you are selling them, of course (this is the classifieds).

Thanks, I suppose that's the problem with having so many windows open at once! Still need advice though...other then where to post.
 
Get a male albino, or snow (anery + albino), and you'll be fine. The whole clutch will end up albino at the worst.... no normals.

I would recommend the snow simply because you already have an albino so the snow would have a different look.
 
Thanks! I'll do exactly that! One of my sons is very fond of the snows anyways, so he will be happy to hear that news. Thanks for your advice!
 
And if your albino happens to be het anery, you'll get snows in the clutch too. Anery is not a rare gene, so it could be possible :)
