    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

:shrug01: HI I wanted to see if some would tell me if I use a male pied that is low white will that make the babies low white.:shrug01: THANKs for any info

Steve is correct.
A low white can produce high white just as a high white can produce low white.
IOW It is not 100% that a low white, or high white, parent will produce all offspring with the same amount of white as they have themselves.

I absolutely do not believe it to be random. I started with a high white Pied male in 2007 because that's what I liked. Using him bred to his daughters and continuing the line of high white to high white or hets made from a high white, I produced over 50 Pieds and no low whites, only high whites. Only when bred to females that were from lower white males, did he produce some medium white Pieds. Producing a visual Pied takes two copies of the Pied gene.I believe that the low white is dominant to the high white. If I have a low white Pied male who is carrying a copy of the High White Pied gene, he can produce High whites when bred to another Pied or Het also carrying the High White gene. Also I believe that definition of what "High White" needs to be established. I define it as a short neck stripe from the head, sometimes only the head and 1 or two small saddles and maybe the tail with color, the remainder white.

By the same token a High White Pied when bred to a low white Pied or a Het carrying the low white Pied gene, can produce low whites, because again, I'm going on my theory that the low white is dominant to High White.

I had a low, low white Pied male and bred him to a couple of Het females. I never once got a low white Pied.
