In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Brooksi king please conferm ID.

I've had her for about three years, and always called her a Florida King.
Am I right, or could someone give me a more detailed idea of what she is?
Kings are exotic where I'm from, and where at so not much info here.
I have three other Kings I would also like ID's on I'll post pics when I have time Thanks for yours.

I'd have to say it's either a light South Florida Kingsnake - Lampropeltis getula “brooksi” or a light Florida Kingsnake - Lampropeltis getula floridana, or a Blotched Kingsnake - Lampropeltis getula "goini". (Note-all of which are "Florida Kingsnakes") The size would narrow my choice even more. What is her length?

Thanks DAND. She is about 3ft. I want to use he for breeding in the future, but they hard to come by here in Taiwan. I know of one adult male for sale. but the guy wants close to $300 for it. I have 5 females all different sub species.
I see people get a bit funny when you interbreed.
Seen I live on the outher side of the word, with no chance of polluting the wild pollution. Do you think I'll be able to mix and match without any hostility? I can understand not to do that, if I obtain a rear species of king. I would keep that pure, Incas you have some kind of mass extintion, and would want the specimen back for breeding and re population.
What are your thought everyone.

I would now say it is most likely a South Florida Kingsnake - Lampropeltis getula “brooksi”.

If you do decide to cross them just make sure you let potential buyers know they are crosses. Some may have issues with the crossing while others will not. If you are upfront with them then it is left up to them if they want to purchase them.

I'll be looking forward to you posting pictures of the others you said you have.

In the past I didn't like king snakes much. I had large collections of all types of snakes, but avoided kings.
About 5 years ago. I went into a back street, Taipei pet store, near my house to get mice. The owner didn't sell snakes, but knew I collected them.
When she saw She handed me a box in it was a baby king, as skinny as hell with 2 big festering wounds on its back.
She tried to sell it to me, for $100. I said no way and turned to walk out, Then she said ok $10. The snake was in a bad way so I decided to take it out of pity for the snake, or it would have surly died under her care.
Anyway I nursed her back to health.
I'm now quite fond of them and purchase them whenever I find a good deal, which is not easy, they carry a heavy price tag here. By the way I got another one today.
I'll post pice as soon as my batteries are charged

Here are 2 more. I'll show the other 2 when I get time later on today.

The first one pictured looks like a hypomelanistic brooks king. Brooksi are taxonomically the same as Florida kings (G. lampropeltis floridana). They look different though and usually cost more than regular Floridana.

Your other two are both California kingsnakes.

File size is wrong on the last pic, I'll have to wait till my friend comes round to help me sort it out.
