From reading many posts over the years, I trust what Lynn has to say. Bruce, you say you have backup, but so far have posted no proof, so as of now your credibility is not very good.

I normally do not post online and have been technically out of "reptiles fot some time" However the statements made by lynn petterson are wholly incorrect , slanderous at least Don Pauls Reptiles has always been associated with quality and was named after my brother who was murdered brutilly for no reason in 1985 and the case is still open, MCREPTIlES is my sons buisness and i developed several strains of leachies which are beautiful znd some of the best out there and neighther I or my son have or would not cheat anyone and am a devout christian who worked at a bible college during the time some of Lynns acusations occured and if it happened i would have fired from my job. Concerning the alleged selling of a beaded lizard is wholely false and i only worked with zoos. I sold a cuban ground iguana to a man i did not know as Lynn Petterson the only transaction with Lynn was going to his real home in the backwoods where he had a huge greenhouse and h bought a jacksons chameleon from him and he showed me his set ups raising babies on fruitflies and Lynn and I had nothing but good transactions but few the man i sold or traded the cuban iguana was not the same Lynn Peterson i new and was a theif he took the iguana and never paid me for it and moved within days he was a professional fisherman so he said and i never saw my $500. Iguana or this man again again not the Lynn Peterson i knew so whoever really posted this add is either mistaken or a prankster. What did happen is i had brought back a beaded lizard from a zoo that was on breeding loan the very day after the man who took my cuban iguana called the police on me and i didnt know they were illegal. I got cheated out an valuable female iguana and the next day 4-5 pilice cars blocked my driveways came to my door put their foot in my door and forced there way in and demanded i give them the beaded lizard and mike crocker the local zoo head brutally handled the beaded lizard and was shaking he was so afraid yet the animal was not agressive. I was told by the city venous animals were banned from city limits and so i quickly arranged another zoo loan and never saw it again eigther. I have my doubts this is the real lynn peterson as i talked to him after the incedent and we were always on good terms and i found Lynn to be honest and Lynn never mentioned this supposed beaded trade. I always had plenty of enemies as i worked closely with many zoos across the country and even was asked by Qenten Bloxen of Gerald Durrells zoo at ghe channel islands to help them breed the animals for re-introduction that alone made a lot of people mad but i was trying to help save and re-introduce herps where they were near extention. Finally the tell tell sign of this being bogus and false in accusations is due to Mr Bob Clark, i worked with the USFS trying to break up and expose international smuggling ring which we were successful at and i was awarded the highest accomidation in the service and rings were broken up in at least 3 countries. I never cheated Bob out of anything and whoever has made these statements which are false and can be proven false can get in big legal trouble and The gentlemen again saying i ripped off Bob is false anything i had if his at the time was proprty of the US. not me. I am hesitant going into details on a case that i worked on and am bound to not discuss details. I will say this Bob would have never got into trouble i dont seek it out today but i was being pressered to do some very serious crimes and i refused and try to keep any and all transactions legal. He dug his own grave yet i tried to stop him. To date i continue to get threats for trying to protect endangered wildlife and just like these false statements made againts me people continue to rape the planet of rare species , shark fin soup alone has decimated our sees of a top pretator. On closing whoever posted this better have solid proof, evidence against me for these statements. What i have said is the truth and can be backed up, anyone found to be making these statements, or threaten my life while i was working these cases face the same consequences as anyone. I.E. Murdering a federal officer in line of duty even 20 years later faces the death penalty. I will not cow down to a lot of criminals . I am not looking for trouble or to bust someone those days are gone, but again unlike the post above i was and am highly respected by law enforcement and they know its a hard job, but again i had no intention of doing anything to Mr Clark .Everyone out there need to remember the weathy men with money and power dont get their hands dirty they use other people for paultry sums and laugh when they go to jail for crimes they perpetrate. The story in this post is concocted and is trying to get me upset or give details i can not dicuss. But i hope i said enough for people to see through the the story which is untrue, concocted has very little base in fact what details are provided are twisted. First & foremost, I was only responding to a BOI thread asking if any one knew of you. I only responded about my brief dealings with you 28 years ago. Nothing more or less.

I never said I got busted with the beaded lizard I received from you, go back and read my post #6. The lizard in question was already taken to my ranch located near Lebanon. It was my rental house located on Pythian St. in Springfield, that I owned at that time, that 4 police cars & Missouri State Conservation, converged on, a few hours after our deal. We told them that we did receive a beaded lizard and it was already transported to our facilities in Lebanon. Which was then, and still is, perfectly legal now. When asked where we obtained it, we told them from you, that's why they converged on your house. If you had a beaded lizard confiscated, you're a liar, saying you only had one....I received one, and you had one confiscated, if my math is correct, that's 2......

As far as the female Cyclura n. nubila (Cuban rock iguana) YES I received one from you as well... I traded you a male Egernia major (Australian land mullet) for it, as I did for the beaded lizard, which were worth their weight in gold back then, which I received from Terry Lilley.

The only deals I ever had with you, was the beaded lizard, & the Cyclura as far as my home in the backwoods, as you call it, and the Chameleons I raised back in the 80's, you were NEVER there, and you only knew about it through others who had, and you heard talk about it.

You NEVER bought, and I NEVER sold you any of my Chameleons, and you know it.

You talk about the USFWS and say " i was awarded the highest accomidation in the service" most know, you don't receive accommodations for being a snitch, most who become snitches do so to get rid of the charges, or reduced charges, for their own wrong doings.

As far as Bob Clark, you know what you owe him, and what you did to him, thinking you could hide behind the Feds, and not have to pay him.

I have tried to post a few replies but i am doing this on a phone and appear to have deleted them . 30 years is a long time and there remain discrepancies in all these stories i have been truthful and recalled things the best i could remember this could go on forever but i am posting not just to clear my name but bring peace and stability to what was a brotherhood. Enoughs been said more against me than anyone ive seen perhaps a bigger target would help no i say this in jest lifes to short me , lynn , bob have been around this buisness since the 1960s and i know we were brothers and we helped herpetology a lot . I appologise for any and all wrongs you think i did to you and i already forgive you too. This thread is a smear campain on 30 yr old issues and none of us were bad people what happened with Bob is i tried to help him and things happened i can not discuss but i had no intentions of using or hurting him and you old timers know i was your brother and had no intention of cheating anybody i told you the truth and i made no money off bobs reptiles period i paid for all the care. Things were taken out of my hands and i had to follow orders and there were many verbal fights with supervisors. My recrd is clean im no theif and i was hurt more than bob or anyone else and i have always hurt over all the issues and due or not i appologise to all and pray we put this nonsense behind us. Especially for our children who had nothing to do with it. Many fed and state laws need be changed and we should not have idiot laws like the lacey act its an abused law to enable anyone snywheuugre to be charged federally. With my knowledge i can help stop these laws, but i remain wanting to protect rare and endangered species, with balance people are more importent than a river snail. So again i openly appologize to everyone and want to see our freedoms and laws meet our needs and go after the real crminals out there today a new breed is really cheating people and in a much bigger volume. There are only two stories and the one that is riddled with "discrepancies" is YOURS. I've said many times that melodramatics don't work here. There is no "smear campaign". You are incriminating yourself.

Nice bit of meaningless and irrelevant threatening(mentioning the death penalty), conflating a post here with the murdering of a federal officer. You seem to be pretty skilled at that conflating, as pointed out above you've conflated attending Bible study with a presumption of innocence.

The only thing I haven't seen (read) yet from Bruce is him swearing on his families lives or previous family's graves that what he says is truth. But with the way this seems to be going, that might be next.

John appears to be honest and describes things accurate my first deal was just as described and were doing another deal now. At present i have nothing but compliments of a job well done. And frankly our deals are not small and i would not continue buisness with someone we could take a hefty loss. Live critter buisness is difficult by nature as temps shippers handling and possable delays make every deal risky. But they have been honest and pointed out any health issues and we think they are doing a good job and i would recomend them.

Looking back at the 30+ years of my life. I have done some very bad things. I have said some very bad things. I would give up a lot to change some of my past mistakes. I don't think many of us can look back into the fog of the past and say, yep I would do it actually like that again.

It is not that you made mistakes in the past, you are continuing to make mistakes in the future. Instead of learning from them, you seem to keep doing them. You tell us that you want a "brotherhood". Yet, you are still lying to us. You say you are out the business, but you are still looking up ads and buying animals. You tell one of the more honest people we have on this board that he is a liar, you have the proof, then skedaddle sideways when asked to prove it.

And this seems to be the pattern of your life. It seems that nothing has changed from the person 30 years ago, to the person we are facing today.

Don't get me wrong, I believe in forgive and forget, but then you have to stop reminding all of us why we had to forgive and forget.
