    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am not here to ruin anyones name, but I am here to make the public aware of what they may be faced with.  I have never done business with Jody Wooten, but this could have been the easiest deal anyone could ask for.
Below is any and all corrispondance between the two of us.  You can decide for yourself what you would do....I made my mind up though.  If you scroll to the bottom and read it to the top you will read it as it happened.

K well if you scroll down and read MY e-mail you find in line 3 where it starts " Well now " you find that I do not guarantee live arrival because I do not trust the mail system. I do trust my packing and ventilation but not the mail system. I can promise you that she is in good health and will have no problem getting there alive but if she is shook too hard or stored outside on a dock in the hot sun for 5 hrs ( ice pack or not ) she may not survive. I do guarantee satisfaction once you get her cause she is a great looking snake but does have the retic personality like I explained in the add of fauna. Well get back to me

The reason I didnt answer any questions in that e-mail is because you said that you may buy something else so the last e-mail was just intended to see if you were still interested in the snake because you thought I was trying to avoid you when I really was just working my ass off and had other things on my mind like my family and my sleep. Hey Brian, I am 100% positive that she is a female cause I have sexed her and the guy I bought her from who has been a breeder for over 20 years sexed her and she was also recieved from Bob clark as a female. I have no problem with waiting till you see if you have the money cause I am in the same boat when I go to buy something. I would more than likely ship her UPS if thats ok with you. I have had good luck with them in the past so I think we should do it that way. We dont have a delta dash here so we cant do it that way and I am not driving 4hrs to the closest one. How has the weather been there cause it is still in the 80's here and I dont really think she needs a ice pack but if you want me to through one in then I will try to find one somewhere. Well just let me know when you want to do this and we can go from there.

You are in the wrong business/trade.  NOBODY will buy from someone who will not guarantee live arrival.  If you cannot guarantee that, I STRONGLY suggest you not sell any snakes again.  I have been working with snakes for 15 years.  I HAVE replaced a few, yes, but that is the risk you take.  I cannot force you to think otherwise, but I can make my own decisions and my decision is not to buy from you.

Well, I read through the post and emails pretty quickly, so I may have missed something, but I am not sure why you are mad?<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>?   The emails make you sound like an anxious buyer who wants his questions answered yesterday, and even when they are answered, you still are not satisfied and sometimes miss the answer and reask the question.   I you want guaranteed live arrival, then MOVE ON.   They do not have to play by YOUR rules.   Just my opinion.

I don't understand why you are even posting this really. Just because Jody does not guarantee live arrival? I believe that is his prerogative (sp?), it certainly does not make him a bad guy. Perhaps I am missing something here, was there some other reason for your post?
 
Like I said, I am not here to bash anyone.  YES, my point is that he doe snot guarantee live arrival.  I PERSONALLY think that is a MAJOR part of any deal.  I have (and told him) I am moving on.  I am not mad, it is not that I did not get my way.  
The ONLY part that a buyer should be aware of is that if you buy from him and it is dead, you are screwed.  I would like to be made aware of this if I were a potentail customer so that is what I am doing......making you all aware.
Jody has been very honest with me from what I can tell, I Just chose not to buy because of his guarantee/lack of guarantee.

All you had to say was that they did not offer a live arrival guarantee instead of having us guess at what the problem was.  In my opinion, you should not have posted anything.  I think you gave yourself the black eye...

You really jumped the gun here. He told you straight up "No Guarentee of live arrival" Thats his terms plain & simple either you accept them or move on. Your attempt to discredit him because you didn't get your way is BS & a waste of a post. Not getting your way isn't a reason to post a beware of someone.

I would agree with the previous posters Brian.  Ask your questions, get your answers, make a decision and move on.  Jody has done nothing wrong and you have unneccesarily impuned someones reputation

Gosh really makes you wonder why people even get on fauna for. I was at least honest with him and told him that I did not guarantee live arrival. Some people really piss me off cause they are only in this to look for the bad in people. I simply am selling a snake that I do not have the time for. Being as that I dont have the time to care for the snake I for 1 am doing the snake a favor by trying to sell her to some one that will take good care of her and 2 if I dont have time to take care of the snake why would I have time to sit around and answer e-mails as soon as they come to my computer. Well I dont know what his problem is but I am now glad that I didnt sell her to him. This is a superb snake and I am selling her for a low price so I can get her into a home that will take care of her in the way that she deserves. Well thanks for your support from all that posted and Brian lets just agree to dissagree ok?

I don't agree with everything Jody has said or done in the past, but it is not wrong for him to refuse a live arrival guarantee.  I do guarantee such, and I wouldn't buy from someone who didn't, but Jody is not in the wrong for this, in my opinion.
 
Hey I just wanted to say thanks to Darin for saying that because when all the stink was going on with me and Jay Kaiper ( wich by the way there is more going on now with him and another guy who is getting ripped off by him ) Darin was not my favorite person and what made it worse was that he lives no more than 15 miles from me. But thanks darin and I hope you will change your opinion about me some day cause I may have to do business with you and i dont want it to be a bad thing. I have seen your Corns and they all really are good and healthy snakes. I was at the show in may in Ozark and I sold everything so I do have good animals but not anymore cause I have gotten out of them for a while.  Well I think I have lost the point of this message but Darin thanks for posting something somewhat nice about me. Hey by the way Darin go check out what I going on now with Jay.

THis will be my last post on the matter.  Jody really needs noones defense.  I NEVER said he was a bad guy, I never said he lied.  ALL I SAID was for people to beware.  If someone was to buy from him, whether it be $1 or $1000 and the animal died in shipping, you would not recoup you rmoney.  Not everyone asks about live arrival, and I PERSONALLY think it is a VERY important matter when buying.
If I was in a little better position I might take that risk.  This time of year after spending tons of money on food for the year and a few snakes to ad to my collection (all for breeding) I cannot.  Spring would most likely be another story.
I hope he moves the animal and has a great future.
