Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello,

I'm doing some research on buying some Russian tortoises. They are for my high school science room.

I found some really good prices, approximately 45-50 per tortoise. The vendors are Silver City Serpentarium and Reptileguru. Has anyone had purchasing experience with them

I'm new to the forum so if there is a simpler was to verify customer satisfaction I welcome your suggestions.

Hey JC,

If you are posting an inquiry about a seller/buyer, it would need to be posted in the BOI section of the site (Board Of Inquiry) as this is the wrong place to discuss a seller. But to answer your 2 questions, I have dealt with Silver City Serpentarium many times, small orders to very large orders of all different reptiles and amphibians as well as turtles/tortoises and they are one of the few I can always count on for extremely healthy and flawless animals. As far as reptileguru, I do know a couple people who claimed to have ordered some animals from them and animals were as represented and healthy as well, but I can not assure it as it is not a first hand experience but I would say both thumbs up if thinking of purchasing from either party.
