    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

since it is hard as heck to get ahold of anyone in the chat rooms i am going to suggest this to EVERYBODY that sees it.

what about a chat session for the regulars or anybody for that fact. i am in and out of here more than i want to admit looking for more regs to chat with. but can never find anyone.

if there can be a calander type page to let others know when someone will poke in the chat room, i think it would be a good idea so nobody thinks that the chat rooms arn't being used that much.

just a thought from somebody who cares:D
 
Any registered member can post a public event on the internal calender in this program. Or I can set up a special forum just for this scheduling.

For the calendar, in the second green navigation bar up at the top of the screen that says "Inside FaunaClassifieds", simply click on the link that says "Events Calendar". Or you can go directly to the calendar via this link:

Whatever works best for you.
 
Aw heck!

When I rebooted the server, the chat engine didn't start back up. I didn't put the code into the startup script to automatically kick it in gear after a server reboot.

But I'm still not happy with the response this new server is giving me. Way too sluggish for my tastes. The server should actually be faster than my older server, so I'm not sure what the problem is. But in any event, I'm likely going to move off of it as soon as I can if it's something that can't be fixed.

for some reason i never thought to look there, maybe i thought it was for up coming herp shows or something. but now that i see it, all there seems to be are auto birthday reminders.

not to step on toes and tell you how it "SHOULD BE DONE" but alot of the members are not active enough to be up there.
you could change it so only the active users are posted to free-up space in the calender area.
