    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

CHROS visits the All-Animal Expo!

The Chicagoland Herpetological & Reptile Owners Society (CHROS) will be taking a trip to the All-Animal Expo in Wheaton on January 18th!

The All-Animal Expo is held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds (Directions to the event can be found on the AAE's website) from 10am-3pm. Plenty of free parking is available and the event space is indoors, in a heated building! Come in from the cold and visit the AAE with the Chicagoland Herpetological & Reptile Owners Society!

There will be kangaroos visiting this time as well, from the Timbavati Wildlife Park in Wisconsin Dells. So, besides featuring a whole array of herp-related vendors and breeders, you'll also have the chance to have your picture taken with a kangaroo! Can't beat that.

Visit Chicagoland Herpetological & Reptile Owners Society (Hoffman Estates, IL) - Meetup for more information and to join the CHROS. It's completely free, with the exception of entry fees to outside events, such as the All-Animal Expo.
