In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Chupacabra

Sigh........

Ok.. I am going to be as politically correct as I can in this post so as not to offend anyone.. That is not my intention...(disclaimer)

I am in South Florida and we have a huge Latin population (Cubans, South AMericans, etc)
The Chupacabra is a mythical creature that does not exist, however some people of Latin (Mainly Cuban) descent will argue with you that there is.. At one time here in S. Florida there were goats, chickens, etc that were being killed on farms by an "unexplained animal".. They claimed the damage that was done to these animals was too terrible to be done by local wildlife or pets and the teeth marks and bite measurements were huge... blah blah blah..it turned out to be a big mutt doing the damage, but the Cubans were convinced it was "Chupacabra"

This apparently is a folk lore in Cuba that has been around for years and years..it is suppose to be some "beast animal" half devil, half wolf ,half dog, whatever...
so everytime something "unexplained" happens here..the Cubans run around like idiots afraid that the Chupacabra is coming and its the end of the world..:slamit:

It is Bull Shat!!! Right up there with the Easter Bunny and BigFoot.......
Here are some pics of the Chupa for your enjoyment...

you forgot...

Actually it's LA Chupacabra. It means 'goat sucker' in spanish, (chupa= suck, cabra=goat) named because it was said to drain the blood from goats and then other farm animals.

My very favorite bearded dragon is named Chupacabra, Chupa or Chups for short!

Sorry had to butt in!

You are right!!Kudos!
:)

Good info said so far. Why are you interested in this creature? I am just curious. I have a friend that has written an entire comic book series about La Chupacabra. I have seen pictures that at times makes me wonder the validity of stories, but than again stories are great fun to listen too.

X-Files

there is a great episode of the xfiles that covers that topic.

YaYaYaYaYaYaYa........I can't hear you.......YaYaYaYaYaYaYaYaYa

The Easter Bunny IS real. :) :) :)

I actually just watched a special on the el chupicabra the other night. The cattle that were supposedly killed by the creature, turned out to be dying from types of illness and or viruses. The reasons for all the bizarre, bloodless lacerations were caused by two very common factors. The bloating from decay actually splits the skin and fly's lay their eggs in the wounds. As we all know fly eggs hatch in 24 hours, the maggots chew away at the rotting flesh with surgical precision and yes soak up all the blood as well. So what it all comes down to is a feild full of pasture croaks, and the Cubans yell
"EL CHUPICABRA" and they're not held responsible for the death of 20 cattle and herds of sheep.

dam they have an explanation for everything dont they.......im nbot saying its real im not saying it ant....im saying we explain away everything to quickly........what ever happened to the good old days...where stories used to scare the sh** out of you like when you was a kid i often feel like i think in color and everyone else only see in black and white....:(

I wouldn't dismiss scientific explainations so easily. Science may be able to explain the world around us, but just think of all the cool things it hasn't yet. We barely know anything about the mind, animals of the world and our own oceans. there's still a lot of mystery in the world without having to make up Chupacabras and zombies to make the world a scarier place. I personally loved the X-files and i love drawing my own interpretation of monsters and folklore. But i think it's a also cool to study how people create myths and monsters and how they become famouse, see the jersey devil. The science and myth of the strange livestock deaths are both interesting to me. Subjects like jersey devil, jack the ripper and the rumored midwestern livestock mutilating cults have interesting facts and fiction surrounding them, and while i try to be of a scientific mind, it's also ok to read about the folklore of mysterious events. It's nice to be well-balanced :) , but until someone find a non-faked chupa, (all the photos of dead and living so called "chupas" are all pretty lame and fake looking) i'll still be fascinated by the wierd things that happen to dead bodies without monsters to explain it away so easily.
cheers!

never said science was wrong..sorry i gave trhis impression...:( but in the day they said giant squids didnt exist and now we know they do....so i dont dismiss ether side i just dont belive everything i read ether....im really open minded

The Jersey Devil has been long thought to be a Chupacabra, but then again they also believe it is a sand crane..lol

aaahhhhh, the old goat sucker,eh? sounds like a porn star gone bad, dunnit? :dgrin: oh,and by the way, jessi, jack the ripper was real!
