In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I personally would have cut at day 55 but that's just me. It definitely won't hurt to go ahead and cut those eggs. Never know when something could be wrong.

I usually wait till the first one pips but at day 63 I wouldn't wait any longer. I incubate at the same temp and I usually get the first pip around day 55-58. It's really a judgement call on what you think but that's my opinion.

Well we separted the eggs and cut them.. looks to be 3 pastels and 3 normals....but the yolk is still inside...so let them be and wait or what? thanks for the help guys!

Leave them alone! They will absorb the yolk and come out of the egg within a couple days. Once they're out you can put them in a clean bin. Congrats!

Yes, leave them alone. Once they start poking their heads out and breathing air, they should absorb their yolk within 24-48 hours. If you fool with them now, you may entice them to exit the egg pre-maturely with their egg yolk still attached. You have waited this long, a few more days and they should be out. 63-65 days seems a bit longer then normal at 88 degrees. I would check your temps with an accurate temp gun.

Yeah, leave 'em alone. That's a rookie mistake I've heard of a lot. Just because you cut them doesn't mean they are coming out of the eggs any sooner than they normally would. After cutting eggs, they still need to pip all by themselves and take their first breath. Then they need to absorb the yolk and everything.

After cutting, just leave them alone. Good luck!

We usually cut day 55. We had a clutch this year that when layed had smaller eggs than normal. We cut the clutch on day 55 and notice something was wrong with one. A little pastel had a twisted umbillicus. We removed her tied off her cord and then put her on wet papertowels. Next morning she died. I believe she was too small and we didnt get to her quick enough and by then it was too late. Things like that happen from time to time. So for now on we cut between day 53-55 not a day longer and then let them come out on their own.sme take couple days and some may take a week. Goodluck and congrats on the clutch.

I'd guess that your temps are lower than you believe they are. Also, when the female lays also has an influence on when the eggs hatch. I've noticed that if a female waits longer after her shed to lay, then the eggs will hatch in fewer days. It's kind of like the actual incubation is the sum of the days inside the mom and outside. If she holds them longer, the time from lay to hatch is reduced. To answer your question, I wouldn't cut. Personal preference. I know you already did, and many people do which is fine too.
