I purchased a pair of hypo Baird's ratsnakes from Daniel several weeks ago, but had issues with them from the start. They regurged their first meal with me, and obviously being concerned, I contacted Daniel. He advised me to soak them in Pedialyte, which I did. (I had already done a hydrating soak, but with tap water).
Anyway, I kept them well-hydrated, and attempted to feed them again, and they regurged again. I kept Daniel appraised of everything, and he apologized, and said he would make it right if they continued to decline. We discussed husbandry, and my protocol was appropriate.
I was concerned that they may have been ill, but I didn't want to pay for diagnostic testing and treatment on animals I just received. Having expressed this with Daniel, he agreed to take them back, and issue me a PayPal refund.
Good to his word, he sent a pre-paid FedEx shipping label to me, and issued a refund before I even sent them out. A Good Guy, in my book.
I was very disappointed to have to send them back. I'm a ratsnake fanatic, and I dearly love Baird's rats, especially the hypo morph.
