    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Is anyone else getting a "DataBase Error" page when trying to get into the forums? I've gotten a screen that says this several times today. Sometimes it lasts a couple minutes, and other times it has taken an hour or so to get to fauna again.


I will take a screen shot if it happens again. I keep meaning to, but get distracted (thing Dug from Up when he thinks he hears a squirrel) and then wind up hitting refresh again, which then takes away that page.
 
Haha, I saw that After I submitted my thread. I got distracted from submitting it earlier. lol I'm easily distracted today. Thanks Lucille. At least I know it's not just me.

Just happened again but this time I did not get the error messge, I just couldd not get on the site.
 
Happened to me, also. First time, I got the database error screen; second time, page just wouldn't load for 5 minutes. Thinking I saw the database error once before, within the past couple of weeks.
 
I haven't gotten any error messages myself or even not been able to access the site, but I am getting database errors from my CornSnakes.com website. I have the server guys looking into it right now.

Guess things have been running too smoothly for far too long.... :rolleyes:
 
I've been checking the IP addresses in the error messages I got from CornSnakes.com and most of the IP addresses point to "Microsoft bingbot". Sounds like yet another high quality Microsoft product has been launched on an unsuspecting world....... :rolleyes:
 
Yeah. The server guys are trying some tweaks to MySQL. Seems kind of odd that this happens only for 4 to 5 minutes at a time, though. If it continues I'm thinking I'm going to have start blocking some Microsoft IP addresses at the server level.
