In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just spoke to Mike Wilbanks and he said everyone is inside setting up. They didnt get hit with the worst of it last night and today thew weather is nice. So if you were plaining on going their all there. Stay safe!

That's good! I heard Daytona took a pretty hard hit. Now lets see how many people show up.

I went up to the show today, and Daytona was pretty beat up, as well as I-95. The vendors got in ½ hour late, so weren't fully ready for the crowd at 10. I'd say there was a pretty good turnout. I wasn't sure if it was cancelled, the local hotels weren't answering phones, and on my way up, the power was out pretty much everywhere. Great show though, if you can make it tomorrow, I'd suggest going.

The Crabby one at the show....

Did anyone stop by and see me and not introduce themselves???

I was the crabby looking one at the Lucky Lure Booth.

DAytona and Charley = Not so Good

Well here's my two cents:

State road 92 was a mess. Power was out and everyone was waiting in line to eat fast food. Seriously there must have been 200 people waiting in line at Krispy Kreme. There were many trees and powerlines downed and quite a bit of damage to structures in route to the Ocean CEnter.

As far as the show...it was great though the vendors didn't look real happy...especially this one very grumpy looking lady hanging out with the crickets:) Just kidding.

I was there shopping for pits and was pleased with the selection of bulls ...especially red bulls. Crazy Fools had some nice ones as did Abbot's. My usual go to guy for pits was running low (Reptile Industries) so I purchased some hypo stillwater bulls from Peaceriverherps. I was really bummed there were not more sonoran gopher morphs:(

All in all it was a fun, fast, snake shopping trip as I was waiting for a phone call to mobilize my Unit of Seabees to go and provide disaster recovery to Fort Myers. So far no phone calls but who knows what tomorrow holds.

Enjoy the show,

First timer...

Well, I arrived down I-95 at around 9:30PM during pretty much the middle of the hurricane. I still believe Charles changed course because he noticed he wasn't going to catch us on I-95 so he'd just go were we were going. lol

Anyway, as can be expected, I was more than please to see that the show was still up-and-running. We got hit pretty good, but it wasn't as bad as everyone was making it sound. The sporadicly working stoplights were probably the most annoying however.

On the show...It was great. I'm glad I didn't have much money, or I would have to work overtime at the shop for months to make up for what I could have spent there on Mandarins, Moellendorfi, Coxi, Ridleyi, Taeinura, and Lechi's! However, I wouldn't have worried about being grumpy at the show...I don't think I stopped at more then about three booths that even greated me when I walked up to their tables, which was rather annoying because I found this great looking adult trinket rat, not marked with a price, and couldn't get anyone to help me with. I even picked it up, walked down to the end of the table were I was looking at some other stuff, said,"Excuse me..." to one of the table attendies, just to have them turn away and go sit down elsewhere. Oh well...not my lost sale.

But all in all, it was a great experience. I'm glad I finally got a chance to get down there, even though I was only able to go one day, since Charles decided to turn and head to my home up here in NC, and I was affraid my facility might take a hit. Everything turned out ok though. Hopefully I can get down there again next year, with better monetary standings....and better weather!
